“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me,” is one of the top five regrets of the dying, as shared by Bronnie Ware in her work The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, and it is the one that stops me every time.
Because if we’re honest… how many of us have spent years being the “good one”?
Or...
The responsible one.
The peacemaker.
The self-sacrificing one.
The perfectionist.
The over-explainer.
The people pleaser.
Often it isn’t until a major loss or a before-and-after moment… that we finally pause long enough to ask:
Am I doing this to please others? Or am I doing this because it’s true for me?
After loss, there is a sacred recalibration window -- a moment where we can choose differently.
Living ALIVE is about living without regret. It’s about releasing the identities that kept us safe… but small.
Today on our LIGHT Method group call, I watched brave humans step into that recalibration. And do you know what they’re calling in?
Agency.
Autonomy.
Boundaries.
Empowerment.
Owning their gifts.
Authentic living... not for approval, but for alignment.
Connection and transparency.
This is the work of Living ALIVE.
It is not dramatic reinvention or blowing up your life.
It is about gently asking: What would it look like to live this next season more true to myself?
And if you don’t even know what that means yet… you’re not alone. That’s exactly why I’m hosting this free workshop.
