E30 Bombers

The E30 Bomber has been deprecated and is no longer supported. We have made 180 from Germany to Japan and are competing in the WRL endurance racing championship this weekend ina 2017 Mazda mx5 global cup car in gp3. Before yesterday, we all had exactly 0 minutes in the car.. After a number of spins and slow driving in practice, we take the green flag at 9am. The goal for day 1 is to simply finish intact.

A few shot from this past weekend at COTA

7ish hour update: Ben brought the car in following a 2.5 hour stint. Midway through a bump from another car spun him out in turn-11, but he was able keep turning laps. Josh jumped in at about 2:50 to take the car home to the checker. Currently in 4th and need a bit of luck to hit the podium.

3-Hour Update: Travis is just wrapping up his first hour in the car. Following the last pit cycle we dropped to 6th. He’s worked us back to 4th. He’ll stay in for another hour or so.

Erik drove a great opening stint and was running first in class before his pit stop. Travis hopped in during the stop and will be in the car until shortly after noon.

Track is green for day two of the WRL US Endurance championship. We’re just about one hour in to eight hours of racing. Erik is behind the wheel now. Travis will take over driving duties around 10am, followed by Josh, then Ben.

We’re taking home a couple souvenirs from a successful weekend at Road America. 2nd in class yesterday. Third in class today. 1,264 total miles of racing fun.

Erik’s out of the car after a solid two hour and 40 minute stint. We’ve been bouncing around the top three spots in class. Josh is now in the car.
