Meet Farzana 👋 Former Afghan refugee, mother, and Open Arms Studio's newest Key Holder!

Farzana is foundational at the studio, joining Open Arms as a student in one of MRC's industrial sewing training sessions in the Spring of 2018. Now, she's leading a team of 16 women and supporting design for our partners Project Repat.

Creating opportunities for upward mobility is essential in creating sustainable livelihoods. We've been privileged to have Farzana's sewing expertise over the last 3+ years, but are even more thrilled to watch her leadership grow in this new season.

It’s almost here! 🧵 Join the Open Arms Studio team for an evening of celebrating the Multicultural Refugee Coalition! MRC will be hosting an outdoor picnic-style fundraiser at Mercury Hall on September 29th from 6-8PM. If you choose to enjoy this event in true picnic style, you'll receive a blanket made by the Open Arms Studio to use during the event and to take home with you as a keepsake.
