Today thought: push yourself. But not thru comparison. Enjoy the process of failures and success.

Who Are You vs Who Do You Want To Be?
It's that time of year, that weird space between the hustle and bustle of Christmas and the new year. It can be tough for a lot of us. All of a sudden things are little more quiet and still than normal and its natural to reflect on the past year and think about what did and didn't happen.
As humans, we tend to lean into the negatives. We remember the bad stuff more easily and bring it up more readily. We often try to fight this, distracting ourselves from negative feelings and emotions with busy-ness, food, drink, anything, we do anything and everything but JUST SIT with our feelings. And, truly its not your fault. How often are we told to "focus on the positive"? Like every day, day in and day out, right? And while being positive isn't bad advice, its not good advice when you're trying to ignore things in your life that NEED to be addressed.
It's not a bad thing to reflect on things that didn't work out the way you wanted, to acknowledge that maybe you could have worked harder or smarter, to regret a few decisions, to realize that there are things in your life that need to changed in order for you to be successful and happy, to "sit in" your disappointment, your sadness, and even your anger. It's ok to feel bad sometimes and to face all of those emotions head on BUT, it's ONLY productive if you acknowledge the negatives and RESOLVE to do better in the future.
And that's what we'd encourage all of you to do with this time right now before 2022 begins.
Evaluate this past year. What went well? What didn't? What was your role in it? What was out of your control? What wasn't? Then ask yourself, HOW CAN I DO BETTER?
Ask yourself "Who was I this past year?". Describe yourself like you're writing our the character for a book. Do you like this gal/guy? If not, CHANGE THE STORY. How could you be a better leading character in your book? Write out a description of the person you want to be in 2022.
Grab your journal and use the "Ideal Self" page to do so. If you run out of room, grab some scrap paper and keep going.
We're doing this too so you're definitely not alone.
Sincerely,
Team Gym Gypsy

What could be cooler than being the person that “did a thing” that put someone’s entire life on a different track?
Gifting someone a Gym Gypsy Journal can be “that thing” that makes you that person!
The guide that lets them be the hero in their own story.
Gift them a Journal and challenge them to:
Write down their goals, write down a plan, take action and track their progress.
There’s no possible way for that to not make their life better!
And that’s a way cooler gift to give someone than another crappy sweater or coffee mug…
Buy just 1 Journal (No subscription + FREE shipping + get $6 off!) as a gift now and they’ll get it before Christmas!
LAST DAY TO ORDER FOR CHRISTMAS DELIVERY IS DECEMBER 18th!

Can’t spell Monday without wine... err... wait...
Anyone out there having a , we salute you.
But get your “Today I am Grateful For” filled out and recenter your perspective.
Write down your “Daily Reflection” so you can stop lessons learned from having to be learned again.
Fill out your “Daily Goals” and “Intention for the Day” and let’s get the rest of your week to serve you!
Not writing stuff like that down to take control of your life and grow as a person?
You know you probably should, right?
Why wouldn’t you?

We won't do it for ourselves like we'll do it for them.
It's something my husband and I talk about a lot.
That our "successes" aren't for us.
They're for our precious little kiddo that we brought into the world.
We need to win big in this life because it's our obligation.
We need to become the best versions of ourselves because we need to be aspirational and lead from the front.
Would you like to see your kids writing down goals and writing down plans?
We'd certainly assume so.
Who are they going to learn that from?
If they can't emulate it from you, they're not likely to just decide to do it on their own.
Might not be a bad idea to have 2 journals.
We'd bet big bucks that you'd journal and track way more consistently if your little was doing it with you...

Be honest...
How close are you to having smashed all your 2021 goals?
There’s less than 30 days left to make them happen.
If you’re not happy with where you’ve ended up, what are you going to do differently in 2022?
If you’re not writing goals down and making real plans, that’s a great start.
Take action. Start now. At the end of your life, you're not going to regret taking chances. You will regret not at least trying. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We...
Write. Big. Goals. Down.
We. Write. Plans. Out.
We. Take. Action.
We. Measure. And. Track. Progress.
And it works.
Without a single doubt or question it absolutely works better than the alternative.
Seriously, why wouldn’t writing your goals down be a great idea?
In what world would not having a written plan be better than having one?
Who’s more likely to make more progress, the person that measures and tracks or the person that doesn’t?
Right...
We’re not saying that a Gym Gypsy Journal 📓 will solve all your problems, but there’s absolutely no possible, logical way that you’re better off without it.
Just try it.
No bu****it.
Give it a real, focused, consistent effort for 30 days straight.
If your entire life isn’t significantly different, we’d be absolutely floored.
You’d be an outlier.
When was the last time you really paid attention to your goals and worked on them with focus for 30 days?
changes the trajectory of your life.

New Year, same you?
Oof...
How many New Years have you set out to be a “New You”, just to have an OMG moment right around Thanksgiving when you realize that the year is almost over?
Is there a ton that you talked a big game about back in January that still hasn’t happened?
Fitness goals
Nutrition goals
Finance goals
Career goals
Business goals
Family goals
Personal goals
Relationship goals
How many of these areas have met or exceeded your New Year’s Resolution wishes?
Promise it’s less than you’d like.
If it’s happened for multiple years (it has), what are you going to do differently in 2022?
Set big goals.
Make real plans.
Take massive action.
Track your progress.
Build the life of your dreams.
We believe in our Gym Gypsy Subscribers because we know they’ve committed to that process.
