The proper position to end your inchworms.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Inchworms are an excellent exercise that primarily targets core strength. However, it can also be beneficial in shoulder stability in an overhead position. This is really important for overhead athletes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Athletes will cut these short and stop walking their hands out when their hands get directly underneath their shoulders (push-up position). This shorter range of motion significantly decreases the effectiveness of this exercise. It is less challenging on the core to stability and there is no overhead stability in the shoulders.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Be sure to walk your hands out as far as possible when doing inchworms. Lift with intent and never go through exercises for just a completion grade.

First thing you do is make the time. Second is spend 5 minutes on the Elbow to Instep with a twist. This stretch will help open up your hips, quads and back.

Our Day of the Deadlift finally, we had two future Navy SEALs go head-2-head on deadlifts.

10 days out from our first annual Day of the Deadlift Open House and Costume Party!!
We’ll use our Velocity Training Technology to see who has the fastest deadlift, as well as the slowest deadlift (harder than you think).
We’ll also be using @travisgoyeneche laser timing technology to see who’s got the hottest wheels in the 10 yard dash and 5-10-5.
And finally we’ll use our vertical jump technology to see who can jump the highest.
There will be prizes to each one of these contest so come by on October 28th with your costume from 5-8pm!!

Lateral quickness can be a great asset for most fields and court sports. The key is the transition from one direction to another, if you can nail that you're golden. This absorbing and pushing laterally is only accessible if you take the proper steps to build the necessary strength.
Step 1- Get body moving side to side. (Lateral Lunges)
Step 2- Learn how to absorb lateral forces (Two feet jumping and landing)
Step 3- Single leg jumping and landing.
Step 4- Increase complexity with Dynamic MVMT (Lateral run with hurdles)
Step 5- Add resistance (banded shuffles)
Step 6- Rinse and repeat (Always return to the basics)

We couldn’t be happier for @ajgarc20. For the past year in a half he’s been a man on a mission. He’s gained 23 lbs of body weight, over 150 lbs on his deadlift, shaved over a half second off his 5-10-5. He also blew past 100mph off the bat and well over 400 feet.
Here he’s pulling his second set of 515 lbs for 3 reps.
