Well said.

My face in the final second says everything... equal parts shame and proud father.😅

During this dussack exchange, I tried to break our rhythm with a broken-time feint to his leg. But he didn't bite. He stayed composed, caught the parry at the top of my true cut, and waited for his moment.

A couple exchanges later, he gave me a taste of my own medicine - feinting to my head, and the second I reacted, landing a cut right on my leg.

In 16th-century fencing, it’s never raw speed that wins. It’s rhythm, reading the trap, and mastering the tempo.
