🙏 Gratitude 🙏

This past week my experience has been different then most. Alex and I noticed how the weather would be colder then normal and we had scheduled a trip during the winter storm. During this trip, I did my best to enjoy and be present but I was anxious, worried and unsure of what we were coming home too. If my family and friends were okay because they had no water, power or heat. I was concerned about a pipe burst in our apartment building and hoping everyone in our building was safe.

Once we were able to arrive back into Austin, we were on a mission for some food/water and thankfully we used the resources from which has helped us out! I am also grateful for my family allowing us to stay with them as we await till our pipes get fixed so we are able to have heat/water again.

I want to say this, I am so very grateful to our friend who drove us to the airport when the roads were icy and for my client allowing us to drive there truck home so we were able to arrive safely back home from the airport.

I appreciate the kindness, support and love from everyone and the overwhelming support from our community, you all are amazing, I love this city!!

💥Drop It Like A Squat💥

✨ The double kettlebell front squat allows you to train a decreased load for the same physiological effect. So even though you are not squatting as much weight, because of the asymmetrical shape of the kettlebell, and the placement of the kettlebells in the rack position, you are able to maintain squat strength by training the double kettlebell front squat regularly✨

✨Squat to Overhead Press✨

💥Building Muscle with Kettlebells💥

Any modality can build muscle as long as there’s progressive intensity and volume combined with a caloric surplus and enough rest to facilitate growth. That goes for bodyweight training, dumbbells, barbells, and etc. As long as the muscle fibers are stimulated with enough weight for a long enough time you’re golden.

✨New Movement Tuesday✨

✨This exercise develops upper body strength, shoulder and scapular controlled mobility, and lumbo-pelvic stability.
✨Landmine presses are a great option for people who are not able to perform overhead presses due to an injury or a lack of overhead mobility.
✨Landmine presses are very anti-extension in nature, and will help you learn how to generate the necessary levels of tension if you wish to excel at pull-ups.
