Early Fall is usually a heavy travel/workshop time for me. Things are starting settle back down and wanted to give you guys an update on past due orders. On the low I've been working on a new epic fantasy novel I am calling 'The Sky-Stone Sword' It's set in a world inspired by medieval Africa and I have integrated a lot of the myths and legends that have inspired me over the years and it feels great to be a part of the storytelling.
I might be looking for beta-readers in the New Year and collaborating with illustrators in order to bring the characters and worlds to life.

I caught the WMAW Armoured Combat Bug!!!
I have two years to assemble an acceptable kit with the hope of competing in the armour deed and represent Africa.
My four areas of interest would be: North Africa (Andulus) and (Mamluk),
The Horn (Ethiopia) 15th or 16th Century
The Western Sahel (Songhay) 15th or 16th Century.
I am still researching and trying figure it out.

Street Forge Announcement,
We are going to extend our Sabre Sale until Friday afterwards we will discontinue accepting individual orders for synthetics. This breaks my heart since we founded our business almost entirely on making trainers out of hdpe. This pivot is based on the fact that In recent years the cost for plastic has risen while the demand for synthetics has decreased making it extremely difficult and costly to fulfill single orders. This coupled with losing our home base at Co.Lab has forced us to restructure and refocus Street Forge Armoury. Of course we will continue to make swords out of wood and steel but as far as plastic is concerned we will only accept group orders for synthetics.
Hopefully this will only be a temporary change but I am happy in the role that we have played in popularizing African weaponry and bringing more attention to wider world of African Martial Arts. Thank you for your support.

Due to low enrollment, we are strongly considering rescheduling our Street Forge Armoury Mixed Weapons Tournament to late fall when the weather will be cooler, and we can attract more fighters and attendees. Additionally, this will give us enough time to produce sufficient steel trainers for the event.

We are still offering a shotel as the prize for the champion, along with other Street Forge Armoury gear and swag for the competitors.

For current fighters who have already paid their registration, we can either transfer it to the new date once it's agreed upon or provide a full refund.

I will officially reschedule the tournament if we do not get 20 fighters by June 1st.

We are 18 days away from Rooted in Resistance and to be honest attendance is kind of low. I have nine instructors representing arts from the African Diaspora (Americas) to South East Asia and beyond. We need more support. If you can attend either in person or virtually that would go a long way to ensure that I am able to pay these artist what they are worth for their expertise and energy.
If you aren't able to attend then please help spread the word. The algorithm isn't always for us.
