What are some of your favorite memories of the Open at Belton 2022?

Why was the Open at Belton a success? Because of these 2 guys your TD’s Neal Dambra and Jim Hudson without their hard work and love for the game the Open would not exist. This was the 2nd year as a Silver Series event. Next time you see these guys remember to thank them for growing the sport and putting Belton on the map. True gentlemen and champions.🥏❤️🏆

Another shout out from the Open at Belton goes out to all our volunteers who followed each card and took stats for Udisc. I found this picture of Ella Hansen on the DGPT instagram and that is Royal in green keeping stats for an FPO card. So many volunteers helped and they were Ashley, Faith, Ernie, Jason, Justin, Colten, Ian, Marshall, Mike, Hadley, Dana, Trey, Ben (Neb), Will and of course Royal pictured below. I know I missed quite a few so if you see this post please write your name in the comments below for a proper shout out and thank you. Last but not least was the crew of wonderful women that helped out at the scorers table Karen, Kyle, Ashley and Taylor. My job went so smooth announcing thanks to you 4 and I will never forget the fun time we had. 🏆🥏☮️

I would like to thank TD’s Jim Hudson and Neal Dambra for naming me the Open at Belton’s volunteer of the year 2022. I was so surprised to say the least. Being the announcer(4th year) and posting on FB was a privelage. To be able to talk to and announce the best players in the world was awesome. This truly has been a magical ride for the last 4 years. Last shoutout is to our son Ian Ekery for introducing me to disc golf 4 years ago.

Looks like Catrina Allen loves the Open and we love having her here too. Congrats on 5 Open championships total and back to back Open wins. It has been a pleasure and an honor to announce your name the last 4 years. Keep the ball rolling this year or should I say keep the discs flying into the baskets this year. 🥏🏆🥏🏆🥏🏆🥏🏆🥏🏆
