We will have Coach Will McKinney in town for a clinic on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.
Coach Will founded 3FWC in 2009. He left us in 2018 and is now the Head Coach at Oklahoma City University. We love getting the chance to pick Coach Will’s brain, and for those of you thinking about wrestling in college, he is a great resource to ask questions and get insight from a college head coach.
We are bringing him to you so you do not have to travel for this eight-hour instruction session.

Reminder there will be no practice this weekend on Sunday, May 24th or Monday, May 25th for Memorial Weekend.
Take this time to enjoy family, rest, and remember what this weekend is truly about. We honor and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Enjoy the time with your families. We will be back at it on Wednesday.
Also, please check your emails for details on our upcoming clinic with OCU Head Coach Will McKinney on June 6th and 7th. This is a great opportunity for our wrestlers to learn, grow, and pick the brain of a college head coach.

Huge congratulations to Charlie Trujillo on his commitment to Brown University.
Charlie will be taking his academic and athletic future to one of the most respected universities in the country, and we could not be more proud of him.
Charlie has always carried himself the right way. His commitment to academics, his leadership in the room, and his consistency on the mat have set him apart. He is a 4x State Qualifier and a 3x State Placer, finishing 3rd, 3rd, and 3rd. That kind of consistency does not happen by accident. It comes from showing up, doing the work, and staying committed to the process year after year.
Charlie has been a leader for 3FWC, not just because of what he has accomplished, but because of how he has done it. He leads with effort, toughness, humility, and consistency. He raises the standard for those around him.
Brown University is getting a great wrestler, a great student, and an even better young man.
Congrats Charlie. We are proud of you and excited to watch you take this next step.

It’s with a heavy heart that we share the loss of a young member of our 3F family.
Aniyah Lucero was an amazing, life affirming young girl who brought light, joy, and love wherever she went. She loved 3F, and she loved her 3F teammates. She showed that love every single day, in the practice room and at tournaments.
Many of you have seen the beautiful drawings on the wall at 3F. Aniyah drew those when she was just 8 years old. Those drawings will always be part of our room, just like Aniyah will always be part of our 3F family.
Aniyah passed away in March, along with two of her younger siblings. Our hearts are with her family, and we ask that you continue to keep them in your prayers.
We will never forget Aniyah. Her smile, her spirit, and the love she brought into our room will stay with us forever.
There will be a Celebration of Life service this Saturday, May 9 at 10:00am. Please see the details posted.
Once 3F Family, always 3F Family.

What a weekend for 3F Wrestling at Freestyle and Greco State.
First, thank you to our coaches. Jack Skudlarczyk, Matt Gochberg, Mosha Schwartz, Micah Burgess, Mea Mohler, Jake Deutschlander, Aaron Navarrete, Jeff Bartlett, and Martin Strmiska were moving nonstop for two straight days. Corner to corner, mat to mat, match after match, they made sure our wrestlers were covered, coached, supported, and prepared.
Thank you to our families for trusting us with this process. I know we ask a lot, but we are trying to build better wrestlers and even better young men and women through hard work, accountability, and commitment.
Combined State Results:
67 Placers
15 Champions
11 Runner Ups
42 Top 3 Finishes
Team Results:
3rd Place Team, Men’s Freestyle
Team Champions, Men’s Greco
WrestlingTX.com noted, “3F Wrestling had the most total placers of any club with 67.”
Our double champs led the way. Charlie Trujillo was double gold, and what a leader he has been since day 1. Braiden Bartlett wrestled lights out and is looking the best we have seen. Charlie Lundin made it known he is here, y’all better watch out. Joanna Henry killed it all weekend, and Elijah Allen took care of business.
The Pallan twins stepped up big and battled it out in the Greco finals. Dallas Bartlett and Drake Pallan showed our youth dudes are coming. Sebastian Clark and James Murray also came up big in Greco.
The numbers are awesome, but what makes me most proud is seeing our wrestlers battle, bounce back, cheer for each other, and represent 3FWC the right way.
This week off is earned. Rest, recover, and reset. We resume Monday, May 11th.
Success is a lifestyle.

Space City Duals 2026 is in the books.
On the drive home, I had time to process the weekend. I kept thinking about something Coach Will used to say after a tournament: “We won some and lost some.” That really sums up the message from this weekend. This is all part of development. Yes, we want to win, but even more important, we want to see that competitive spirit. We want to see if what we are doing in the room is translating to competition.
For us, this weekend is about coming together and competing as a team, something we do not get to do very often. It is about having each other’s backs. It is about 3F Family.
What a great weekend of improving. 3FWC, you all killed it.
It is important for us to put our own wrestlers out there. We are blessed enough to fill two boys teams with the wrestlers from our room. Win or lose, it is on all of us together. Our Red Team is filled with veterans. Our Blue Team has a strong mix of younger wrestlers with a couple seasoned veterans.
Our girls squad was mostly 3FWC girls, with help from Jordyn Parker of Best Trained, Peytton Mack of Rise, and the LASA ladies Jade and Amaya.
Results:
Boys Red Team won Freestyle for the second year in a row, making 3FWC back to back Space City Duals Champions in both styles.
Boys Blue Team took 7th in Freestyle. I am so proud of this team. They battled together and gained confidence.
Girls squad took 5th in Greco. Outstanding effort. They were giving up 20 points to start every dual, and we will do a better job filling those holes next year. Great job, ladies.
A huge thank you to Coaches Jack, Mosha, Micah, Mea, Matt, and Jake. What you all do day in and day out shows through and through. The time, energy, and belief you pour into these wrestlers matters, and weekends like this are a direct reflection of that commitment.
And to our parents, thank you for your unwavering support. We love our 3F Family. It is always so cool to see the way you love and support all of our 3F wrestlers.
Two weeks until FS/GR State. We will take this next weekend to train, then be ready for Dallas.

Congrats 3FWC Red Team. Back to Back Space City Duals Greco Champions.
You guys fought hard for each other and it shows.
We put the best representation of our team out there. Everyone one of these dudes trains in our room day in and day out.
Great job 3FWC!! Freestyle tomorrow.
