Season’s Greetings from the Dark Clan!

It’s the time of the year where you dress up and hang around with the people you care about! Of course, I’m talking about holiday get-togethers, and the Dark Clan is bringing the party this year! Once again, we teamed up with Zilker Brewing Company and Pan’s trailer to bring this event to life. Dress to the 9’s, as we will have a live DJ, a photo booth, catered food with vegan/vegetarian options from Pan’s trailer, refreshing beer from Zilker, and of course, your Dark Clan family to have fun with. In competition news, Dark Clan represented last weekend! (December 2 & 3)

A shout to Dark Clan/Komaimu brown belt, Vince Barbosa, for winning his match and earning fight of the night honors at Fight 2 Win Pro 56. Vince is always improving and always game. Much respect to “The Pterodactyl.”

In the inaugural all-ladies Onnit Invitational 6, the Dark Clan sent two competitors to chase gold. Both Malarie Rodriguez and Esme West put on a hell of a show. Malarie took on an opponent 60 lbs heavier than her and hung tough until the end, and Esme went 2-0, finishing both opponents and bringing home the first Onnit Invitational 135lbs title. I am proud of all of our competitors!

Due to the holidays, there are no Zilker Kickboxing with Toby and Brew-Jitsu classes this weekend. (December 10) Instead, enjoy these holiday pictures from our coaches, Toby Imada and Derrick Garza, and we will see you back on Sunday, December 17 for more Dark Clan/Zilker action

A Dark Clan Christmas (Party)

Brew-Jitsu is back!! The one and only beer and jiu-jitsu combination in Austin is back in effect this Sunday at Zilker Brewing Company! Join the Dark Clan and the rest of the local grappling community for 3 hours of rolling. Admission is $20 dollars and includes 2 pints of craft beer from Austin's own, Zilker Brew. Bring your Gi and No Gi gear, and enjoy friendly rolls along with beer and friends!

Come get your kung fu on!! (i mean jiu-jitsu.)

NOTE: Admission is per event (kickboxing not included). Please remember to tip your servers! Event start time is 1:30 PM.

Zilker Brewing Company and the Dark Brothers Clan are proud to roll out and pour another edition of Brew-Jitsu this Sunday! Bring your Gi and No Gi gear, grab a couple of pints of refreshing Zilker beer, and have a blast with the local jiu-jitsu community!

This event is $20 and is open to all levels and all schools. (Friendly rolls, please. Pay at the door, sign the waiver, and please tip your bartenders!)
