I hate talking about something that was not good but I feel like you can learn something from my experience so here I go.

A few years ago, I had a bad coaching experience. The coach had good intention but she did not know what she did not know.

See, she was moved to change her client focus and asked me if I would be willing to be coached by her and being a person who wants to show up for others, I said yes without asking any questions.

You workout harder. Work longer. Push more.

You’re not lazy.

Trying to improve without feedback is like shooting with your eyes closed.
Effort matters—but so does aim.

A good coach saves you years.
They see what you can’t.
They call you out.
They bring structure to your grind.

You can do the reps.
But who’s making sure they count?

Doing it all alone is slowing you down.

You think self-discipline means going solo.

You grind in silence. Reject help. Push through.

But here’s the truth:

Support doesn’t make you weaker.

It makes your progress deeper.

More aligned.

Faster.

When someone holds you accountable, you follow through.

When you talk out your goals, they get sharper.

When you're seen, you start to believe.

Stop treating support like a crutch.

It’s a shortcut.

Ask yourself:

Who’s helping you stay on track?

Who knows what you’re working toward?

If the answer is “no one” — the real question is:

How far could you go with help?
