Join us on Saturday, April 18th as we celebrate Coach Appreciation Day. Our volunteer coaches are the heart of our organization, and we can’t thank them enough!

The Town and Country Optimist Club will be handing out FREE hot dogs to all coaches (from 11am to 1pm)—just look for the volunteers in blue shirts and grab a hot dog on them! 

We’ll also be recognizing three outstanding coaches with special prizes. Want to nominate someone?

Submit your coach’s name on the T&C website, at the link below, along with a photo (if you have one), a brief description, and what you appreciate most about them. All nominated coaches will be entered into a random prize drawing! Three winners will be randomly drawn after coach appreciation day.

Girls in lacrosse can dare to dream, to reach for their highest potential. And that starts with our support on the sidelines! So cmon out and give them a cheer!

Charlotte North spoke to Olympics.com after the Boston Guard’s title win:

“All those younger girls in the crowd now have a bigger goal in mind, whether it’s playing professionally in the WLL or at the Olympics, which is the pinnacle of sport. To see this version of the game played at this level, I think, is giving fans something to get excited about.”

North also spoke on the stage of the league in the post-game press conference after the title:

“When given this stage and this opportunity, the women are going to put on a show and deliver. The fans are going to be over the top excited because they see their future in front of them, a little bit more tangible than before.

That’s really important, we take it very seriously, and we are honored and grateful they come out and support us. To hear them cheering, we feel it on the field, we feel it at every second.

That energy was palpable throughout the entire venue, no matter who anyone was cheering for.

There was a bunch of young girls out there who just love the game.”

On International Women’s Day, we’re proud to be part of a sport that empowers girls to be leaders, competitors, and teammates. Every practice, every game, and every cheer from the sideline helps build confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships.

From our youngest players picking up a stick for the first time to our older athletes leading the way—these girls are blazing the trail for the next generation.

Here’s to strong girls, strong teams, and a strong future for women in sports.

After the rain ☔️ put a stop to the remainder of our WAYA Jamboree yesterday, our 8U and 10U girls have the day off 😴

The 14u girls had a win on the road for team TNT at Dripping yesterday, and they’re back again vs Gateway/SWAG at 1 🐊🧭

Lastly, 12U plays Westlake at 2 pm today!
