🚨 IT’S ON AT TEXOMA 🚨
John and I hit the water today and absolutely SMOKED them.
💥 Double limit of beautiful smallmouth
🎯 Quality spotted bass mixed in
🦍 And MONSTER stripers that tried to rip the rods out of our hands
This isn’t “slow pick it apart” fishing.
This is rods bent.
Drags screaming.
Net ready.
When the bite lines up like this, you don’t wait. You BOOK.
Right now the fish are grouped up, feeding hard, and it’s one of those windows you wish you didn’t miss later.

Had clients out today for an EyeScope Training Session who made the drive all the way from Arlington 🚗🎣
These trips are fully customized for each angler who wants to sharpen specific skills and truly understand the “why” behind what they’re doing on the water.
William is a Texas high school tournament angler who wanted to:
🗺️ Dial in mapping
🌦️ Read conditions and adjust
🧠 Break down sections of water the right way
We spent the day dissecting Lake Texoma piece by piece and showing how those same decision-making skills transfer to ANY body of water.
To cap it off… he sticks an absolute Texoma gorilla 🐟💥 and cracks his PB on his very first time on the lake!

Lake Texoma Fishing Report: Bass
Feb 20th, 2026
Water temps on the south end of the lake are still 47-50 degrees in most areas
Water temps on the north end of the lake 56-59 degrees.
Fish are catchable on both sides of the lake, but the techniques are different, and the fish are in different stages. Found fish in dirt shallow water up north, cranking in 2-5' of water. The key was finding that slightly stained water and targeting windblown secondary points with a squarebill crankbait.
South end of the lake, the bass are still staging in that 8-14' zone. During the warmest part of the day, they will move up to feed on the flats, but timing is too difficult to pattern, and the bite does not last long. Brushpiles and offshore rock are holding small groups of bass. Jerkbaits, Alabama rigs, and finesse applications are all playing.
The forage is abundant all over the lake. Tiny little button shad, no more than 1.5".
Striped bass report: (see previous posts). I dont hide backgrounds or even the baits. Ive had a special bite to myself for weeks, but now the guides and other recs have caught wind. The last thing I want to do is go join the others out in the west end of the lake, or far north so ill be continuing to find something different and new. Stay tuned!
I hope everyone has a blessed, and safe weekend. The fishing is turning up just about everywhere! I wish you all the best of luck out there and may all of your lines remain tight!
