Please join us in prayer for one of our former Administrators/Athletic Director, Steve Murr, who is hospitalized in Huntsville after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Steve is doing well but please remember him, Angela, and the kids in your prayers. Thanks!

LLCA Family: our Head of School, Mr. Murr, has experienced a small brain hemorrhage, and is currently in Huntsville Hospital Neuro ICU. He is doing well, and doctors expect full recovery. Please take time to pray for Mr. Murr and his family. They have requested no visitors at this time. We will update often.

Great meeting tonight of our Boosters! The coming year is going to be our best ever. We are already planning many new and exciting events and fundraisers for GCA Athletics, and we were able to review many ongoing projects such as gym renovation. It is a busy and exciting time, but it is truly a great to be a GCA Cougar!

GCA Boosters are meeting Monday night in the school lunchroom at 7:30 PM. If you are a GCA parent, grandparent, faculty member, alumnus, or fan, then you are a GCA Booster, and you are invited to attend this meeting. Hope to see you then. Go Cougars!

Congratulations to all the GCA athletes for the wonderful year we enjoyed in athletic competition in all our sports! It was a great year with many individual and team accomplishments. None were bigger than our first GISA state championship in a team sport, the sport of girl's volleyball. Congratulations again to this wonderful group of girls and Coach Erwin Harrell!

Congratulations to GCA Baseball for sweeping Solid Rock today in round one of the GISA state playoffs. Team played a double header in Riverdale and just made it back home.

Dear Parents,

The 2014 GCA Sports Banquet will be Monday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A wonderful dinner will be served and students that have participated in JV and Varsity Sports will be recognized.

Ticket Prices are $15-Adult
$10- Children 10 & under

Tickets can be purchased at the school office during normal school hours. Please RSVP no later than Thursday, May 15th. Due to food preparation, No tickets can be sold after this date.

GCA Boosters met tonight, and it was a great meeting! We have two functions coming up that we really need your help with. Both are falling on Monday, May 19th.

Booster Club Lunch: The BC will be sponsoring the lunch that day to help with the Sports Banquet. Please see the list below and let me know what you are willing to send.
Taco Meat - this can be cooked the night before and sent in a crock pot. We will need 30 lbs for the lunch so you can volunteer to do 5lb or 10lbs.

Spring sports are in full swing! GCA athletes are training and competing in baseball, tennis, and track and field. We are also very proud of our literary team, and the state championships they brought home yesterday! It's a great time to be a GCA Cougar!

What sweet young ladies our varsity volleyball team has!

Thank you so much to the GCA Boosters for the awesome gift of State Championship Rings to our 2013 Lady Cougar Volleyball Team. Cougar Fans, this is an example of what your participation and support helps to accomplish. The Green Egg raffle came at the perfect time for these girls. JV Girls play basketball today at 4:00 PM. JV Boys play at 5:00. Varsity girls play at 6:00 and varsity boys tip at 7:00. We play Southwest Georgia Academy. The GISA AA State Champion GCA Volleyball team will be honored at halftime of the boy's varsity game.
