I love working with the spin jammers. It makes throwing different spins easier.

The shoulder blade is designed to move during the pitch—not stay pinned back.
A small study of 17 high-school pitchers found that the shoulder blade moved naturally around the rib cage throughout the arm circle, changing position as the pitcher approached release.
The coaching takeaway: Don’t cue pitchers to squeeze their shoulder blades together or hold them rigidly back. Train the muscles around the shoulder blade to move smoothly, stay controlled, and support the throwing arm.
This early research does not tell us one “perfect” pattern or prove a connection to velocity or injury. It does remind us that healthy movement requires stability—not stiffness.

Cheyenne is amazing!
She has to be the most intense kid I've ever coached. She throws herself into everything that she does. 💪💗🥎

Please like and follow for more information like this. There is so much more I can cover in the study and I will be doing this soon and posting it.
New research on 90 high school and college softball pitchers found that velocity was linked more closely to how quickly the pitcher moved her body upward and forward—not simply how far she strided.

Greater vertical force through the stride leg was also associated with higher velocity, while excessive backward braking force was associated with lower velocity.

The coaching takeaway: Create powerful up-and-out momentum, land strong, and redirect that energy through the pitch. Don’t chase stride length at the expense of posture, timing, stability, or efficient force transfer.

The study shows associations—not proof that one mechanical change will automatically add velocity—but it reinforces the importance of an explosive lower half and a firm, efficiently functioning front side.

This young lady works!
Laney has so much passion for pitching and wants to do good so bad. She is a special girl with a heart of gold who texts me every other day with practice questions, videos, game updates, etc. She is so special and I am proud of her.

Excuses don’t build champions. Consistency does.

When deciding on the
number of reps for your
practice you should consider...
* off season-> drop the regular ball and workout with weights or med balls
* the time of season your in pre-season, in-season,
or off-season requires different practices.
*pre-season work up gradually to the max number of reps that you'll be expected to pitch in one day.
*If it's a full 7 innings it might
be 100 reps plus 30-50 warm-ups
*in season maintain those reps, with precision command for strategy.
*NEVER go into a game with your body use to only 50-70 reps and pitch 120+. That is a cause for injury.

Why I purchase so much equipment for my girls. It's a real addiction 🤣

Dooley is my lean mean pitching machine. I've watched her grow up from a little goofy clumsy girl to a tall, amazing pitcher with limitless potential. she is able to hit in the 60s for her game speed and spin the ball with excellent command of the axis and location, and deliver a beautiful change up to destroy the batter's timing. I am lucky to call myself her coach.
