"I was 41 the first time I walked into a gun range, and I was terrified. I couldn't even say the word 'gun' without crying."

That's how Jenny's journey started. One class later, a lifetime of assumptions was undone. Today, she's an instructor, helping other women walk through that same door.

Read Jenny's full story on our blog: https://ladysentinel.org/blog

Every one of us has a "first day" story like this. We want to hear yours. Drop a quick version in the comments, or email [email protected] if you'd like yours turned into a full blog post.

I was 41 years old when I first stepped foot in a gun range. I had never touched a gun before, and unbeknownst to me, had developed a phobia of fi****ms. I couldn't even say the word "gun" without crying. Of course, this made sense, being as though I come from a largely anti-gun community, and spent...

Sentinels, mark your calendars!
Customer Appreciation Day at The Range is coming up on September 19th, and we're bringing back our booth after such a great experience last year!
This is our chance to connect with prospective members, share what makes our community special, and show off some merch while we're at it. Whether you're a seasoned Sentinel or newer to the group, your story matters and could be exactly what inspires someone to take that first step.
We're looking for volunteers to help run the booth for a shift, chat with visitors, and be a friendly face for Lady Sentinel. You won't be doing it alone. We'll be right there with you the whole time.
Sign up for a shift here: https://tinyurl.com/484acfwu
Can't wait to see this community show up and show out!

🎯 Start with the goal. Then work backward.

At our latest Lady Sentinel monthly session, Start With the Bang: Reverse Engineering Your Goal, members brought their own goals and worked through a practical framework to turn them into actionable steps.

One of our ladies shared that her goal is to purchase a firearm. As she walked us through her Macro, Micro, Nano, and Action steps, we got to see how breaking one big goal into smaller, manageable pieces can create a clearer path forward.

Each member had the opportunity to work individually on a goal of her own—whether shooting-related or something completely different.

A big thank you to Beth for leading the session and giving us a practical framework we can continue using long after the workshop. đź’ś

And after working on our goals, we headed to the range to put in some practice time. 🎯

What’s one goal you’re working toward right now? Share it with us in the comments!

Women Only CCW Certification: September 22nd, 8am

This isn’t a “watered-down” version of our co-ed CCW class. Same curriculum. The only thing different is who’s in the room.

Most people think of concealed carry training as prep for a public encounter; a parking lot, a store, a stranger. So they underestimate how much the class actually covers. The truth is, most of the “what ifs” that matter don’t happen out in public. They happen at home. In the middle of a totally normal day/night that suddenly isn’t.

Ever run those scenarios in your head? We’re going to run them together, with a plan, instead of alone at 2am spiraling. It’s time to take responsibility for your safety, and be confident with your choice.

We’ll cover the legal side (what you can and can’t do, and why it matters), how to size up a threat before you’re in it, and how to make good calls fast instead of freezing up.

$135. Fi****ms, ammo, eye and ear pro all provided, just bring yourself, lunch, and snacks.

Come hang out, meet some sharp, like-minded women, learn something that actually matters, and leave more confident, not more paranoid.

Whether you want the women-only or co-ed class, click the link below, women-only sessions are specified in the listing.

🩹 When an emergency happens, knowing what to do matters.

Tuesday night, Lady Sentinel members got hands-on practice with skills that can make a difference in the moments before help arrives.

During our Hands-On Emergency Response: CPR & trauma special session, members practiced CPR techniques and learned practical bleeding control skills while working directly with medical professionals.

A huge thank you to Dr. Andrew Steele and Kathe Steele, RN and certified CPR instructor, for sharing their knowledge and giving our members the opportunity to learn by doing. đź’ś

Sessions like this are about more than learning a new skill. They’re about building the knowledge, confidence, and ability to act when someone needs help.

And thank you to everyone who joined us and was willing to get hands-on and learn something that could one day help save a life.

đź’¬ Have you ever taken a CPR or Trauma class?
