Artistic Director, Valerie Branch is thinking about growth and expansion today. Thought we would share this quote with YOU!

A successful company has leaders who are not afraid of long hours and intense effort, who work hard to improve their products and services, stay lean and efficient, recruit and promote the best possible talent, and inspire their workers to produce the best possible quality.

We will be hosting auditions for next season in a few weeks; Will you join us?!?!

Professional company members (Erica. Michelle, Destinee, and Rebecca) and Pre-professional company member, Morgan Ross share: Why Dance Matters in honor of YA Week!

It's smoothie season! Grab your favorite all natural fruit/vegetable juice, add some frozen fruits (blueberries and strawberries are our favorite), some fresh bananas, Greek yogurt and blend. Enjoy while sitting outside and letting the sun shine on you.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. –C.S. Lewis

In this cold weather a cup of hot green tea will be great! Not only to warm you up but to provide you with antioxidants that prevent heart related issues and calm you down. Drink up.

Work it out Wednesday! Turn on some upbeat tunes and get to werkkk!

March in place for quick cardio until your body is warm, legs are loosened, and heart is pumping. Roll down and walk out to your plank (small bend in the elbows so they're not locked, straight spine, abs tight, no arch in the back). Hold your plank for 30 seconds, increase by 30 second intervals as your core strengthens!

Work it out on Wednesdays and every day! Summer abs coming to a body near you!

Your favorite day of the week! VBDE has the studio going up on a Tuesday. Professional company members Michelle, Megan, Rebecca and Destinee rehearsing choreography by Director, Valerie Branch.

Motivational Monday:

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. –Albert Einstein.

The secret is out! You can do this!

It's Thirsty Thursday so we have your nutrition tip!

Beware of “added sugars”. They can make you crave more sugar and fat, cause liver disease and diabetes.

Work-it-out Wednesday! Combine your walk-mile-walk cardio with your 50 crunches center/left/right! You'll feel amazing after this quick, but significant work out. Look back at previous WOW posts for proper technique on running and sit-ups.
We believe in you. Your summer body is gonna be amazing!

Motivational Monday

Either I will find a way, or I will make one. -Phillip Sydney

Thirsty Thursday: for your nutrition tip!

Curb your nightly sweet tooth by keeping fruit handy!

We have some makin' up to do...
Work-it-out Wednesday:

walk for warm-up, run a mile, walk for cool-down!

Remember to run and walk heel-toe instead of putting too much weight on the heels, or too much on the toes!

Motivational Monday! Encourage your friends today!

"Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better." -Samuel Beckett

Depriving yourself of Vitamin D, sunshine, can increase your chances of getting diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis.

Get out in the sun!

Happy Dancing!

It's work-it-out Wednesday!

Might be snowing out now, but you're gonna want the summer body so get to work tonight!

Start light: 50 crunches at center, 50 left, 50 right

Check out our previous work-it-out Wednesday post to find out the proper technique for sit-ups!

You better werkkkkk!

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. -Martin Luther King, Jr.

Eating veggies improves health and lowers risks of diseases! Eat those veggies! And happy dancing!

Work it out Wednesday! Get your summer body started now.

Start with 50 crunches at center. Practice the correct technique; heels in line with sits bones, core fully engaged so no jerking up, keep eyes focused diagonally up at ceiling instead of out past knees so neck doesn't hold tension.

Easy start to the summer bod you'll be ready to show off!

VBDE professional company members Erica, Rebecca and Destinee rehearsing a phrase taught by Director Valerie Branch. Happy Dancing!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. -Thomas A. Edison

We hope that everyone has had a wonderful start to the new year! Our weekly health post will only add to that healthy goal that you've set for yourself!

"Getting enough omega-3 fatty acids may put you at lower risk for depression, and other mental disorders, and lower chance of heart disease."

Happy dancing!
