If you donāt practice doing what you want even if it doesnāt make sense to other people on the SMALL things, how can you expect yourself to show up for yourself on the BIG things?
When you hear that voice or get that feeling in your gut, follow it. I was listening to a podcast the other day and heard this quote āyou donāt control the length of your life, but you do control its depth and itās meaningā like life is too short and unpredictable to live for other peoplesā expectations. You can just do things even if it doesnāt make sense to anyone besides you. And I hope you do, start doing things and see what lights you up, and what maybe makes you say ehh i could go without doing that again and just keep doing more of the things that feel aligned with who you wanna be and forget the rest!
Start small. Just think of it like practice, start with the things that seem insignificant. Like trying that new cafe even if no one can go with you, or starting a new workout program on a random Wednesday just because you feel like it, or take that Groupon cooking class just for fun. You gotta practice with the small things so when the big things come youāre ready for them! Most the time that gut feeling is leading us where weāre supposed to be, itās just a lot of us have gotten so used to going along with what other people say that we got into a habit of ignoring it. Itās time for you to start tapping into it again babe š

Itās you. It always has been.
I know thatās hard to hear at first but stay with me here because its a double edged swordā¦
No one can put a dumbbell in your hand and do a bicep curl for you, but if you really want to workout, no one can stop you. Not me or your doctor or the annoying dude at the gym who hogs the squat rack foreverrrrr. Because when you wanna do something you find a way.
I was in the middle of working a kids summer bball camp⦠on my feet from around 6 every morning and going to bed around 11/12 every night, never a dull moment. I had 1000 great reasons why ānowā was a bad time to try and start my own fitness business. But I was so sick of feeling like so much of my life was decided for me by other people, and I knew with the right tools I could get back in shape (my body was in shambles since i finished my last college fh season). And i knew once I did, if I could help other people get healthy again too, I could take back more control of the rest of my life too.
You donāt have time to workout? Let me show you how to care for your body so you can actually feel better + focus better so your minutes are more efficient and actually free up more time in your day.
You have to take care of your kids? Why donāt you be an example + show them how to take care of yourself. You already know they donāt do as you say, they do as you DO.
Your job drains your will to live? Great, do a workout, make your heart beat a little harder so you feel just how alive you are (and get out some aggression so you donāt snap on a coworker later). š
Look your excuses arenāt BS, theyāre real, and theyāre really just a negative view of a great reason why you SHOULD be doing that thing youāre trying to talk yourself out of.

You are too beautiful of a human to think you have nothing to give the world.
You don't need to be rich or have a million followers to give back or contribute. The truth is you contribute every day.
It may not be a bunch of money to church or charity or hours at a soup kitchen, but you give something to each person who crosses your path.
When you pass someone on a sidewalk you either contribute to negativity or lack by looking down or you contribute to positivity and joy by smiling at them.
You walk into the locker room before a game and you contribute to doubt and fear or you contribute to excitement and focus.
You contribute your energy to every room you walk into. ⨠You know how you walk into a room and you can feel if thereās tension like the two people sitting there were just fighting? You can feel that energy! And you have the same power!
Stop worrying about getting a million dollars or a million followers so you can give and contribute, and start worrying about what you are already contributing everyday that youāre not even thinking about + taking for granted. ā¤ļø

motivation is great and all, but you know what š§ššš”š”š® drives change? šššššš.
I could be the most inspiring + motivating person in the world, I could give you all the tools you need (and i pretty much do in my SPARKfire bootcamps lol), i could give you the best best best pep talks, the most in depth training, you could have everything you need to change your life, but if you donāt believe you can do it, you wonāt- doesnāt matter how motivating I am.
you already DO have all the things you need to change your life. I mean seriously, if youāre reading this post rn you have an entire world of knowledge literally at your fingertips. you just havenāt used it to your advantage yet.
sometimes we use the fact that we screwed something up before as the reason (AKA excuse) why we believe we ācanātā do something. but even if all the facts say you canāt, facts only exist in the past and present- that doesnāt mean itās the complete truth.
FACT: you couldnāt walk when you were an infant.
does that mean you canāt walk? no, you always had the potential to walk, you just didnāt know how to or have the right muscles developed yet- that is the truth.
FACT: there was a time when you couldnāt drive a car.
does that mean you canāt drive a car? no, thatās not true, you just didnāt have the skill or know how to shift gears yet.
FACT: you burned some cookies in the oven one time.
does that mean you canāt bake cookies? no, you can make some delicious cookies, you just needed more practice or to remember to hit start on the oven timer.
FACT: youāre sitting at your desk right now. (or wherever you get my point) does that mean you canāt sit in the living room? no, you can get up and move whenever you want.
the facts of your past have ZERO hold on your future unless YOU BELIEVE they do.
believe that your true potential is so much bigger than your present reality or your past failures. believe the truth that you can have an amazing life. you just havenāt developed the skills or knowledge you need to make it happen yet. believe that you can, search out what you need to make it happen + go do it. YOU GOT THIS š¤š¼

STOP āSHOULD-INGā ALL OVER YOURSELF
wtf am I talking about?... let me break it down for ya, thereās two types of āshould-ingā
1ļøā£ I SHOULD go to this college that society says is really good. I SHOULD become a doctor like mom and dad always wanted. I SHOULD get married and have lots of babies because women are supposed to be moms.
to which I say: stop letting other people control YOUR life. you SHOULD be doing whatever tf makes you feel like the best + truest version of yourself and only YOU know what that really is šš
and type 2ļøā£ I SHOULD be working out. I SHOULD meal prep this week. I SHOULD do my laundry before it piles up more. I SHOULD eat more veggies. I SHOULD start that paper thatās due soon. I SHOULD go visit grandma.
these are usually followed by some kind of āBUT...ā and its even worse than the first type because YOU KNOW what you *actually* should be doing + you know itās gonna make you better, but instead of acting on it youāre making excuses for why you canātā¦
if you know in your heart something is right then wtf are you waiting for!! we all do it sometimes but sitting around āshould-ingā all over yourself and making excuses is a waste of the precious gift that you are + the precious time that you have.
so letās both agree right now, next time a āshouldā comes up, investigate it! whoās expectation is that, and if itās mine then I better go do it or at least set a day and make a plan to take action on it asap- deal?

i just think itās always a good reminder: rarely does fear actually exist in the present moment with us, most of the time weāre fearful of something that ~might~ happen in the future
weāre stressing out and making ourselves anxious about something that hasnāt happened yet + might not EVER happen š
now weād have to be stupid and probably crazy to never feel fear, but you can feel the fear + do that thing anyway.
even if itās not perfect, or even if you donāt have all the answers, you can be confident that you wonāt give up + that you will figure it out. and you build that confidence by showing up for yourself, starting right now.

iām not saying I donāt want flowers, but I definitely *do* want donuts
conveniently my valentines sent me a box of their protein donuts with fake flower petals sprinkled in the box too so itās like the best of both worlds š
also I just love their donuts + my hair looked really good monday but my dogās the only one who got to see it so I put some music on + had a self timer photoshoot with myself š
come a long way for a girl who used to pick herself apart everytime she saw a mirror, and i still catch myself every once in awhile but can I tell you thinking loving thoughts + laughing with yourself is way more fun and I canāt wait to help you start developing that self confidence for yourself too!
because you deserve it, i think youāre pretty awesome + worthy of celebration (and donuts) š

health + fitness isnāt about punishing yourself or your body- itās about LOVING yourself enough to treat your body right so you can live a long, healthy life doing things you enjoy with the people you love
itās the discipline to do the things you know you should do that gives you the freedom you to do the things that WANT to do, but discipline doesnāt mean perfection
thatās why iām so big on sharing the treats as well as the work, because when you choose intentionally thereās room for everything in moderation + it makes it sooo much easier to stick to your game plan and see success when you can ENJOY the process too
so all this to say⦠HAPPY FRIDAY HOMIES go eat the donut if you want it š¤š¼

TOUGH LOVE TUESDAY
the real reason we say weāll start on monday or on the first of the month etc is because it gives us an excuse to NOT have to change our behavior today
but hear me out, life is wayyy too short to keep putting it off (and really the more you put off your health, the shorter it gets)
if youāre reading this right now I promise you you have the time to take care of yourself. it doesnāt take as much as you keep telling yourself it does. small steps consistently over time >>>>>
I started out doing 25 minutes a day, and i have workouts you can do in 20! you could do it on your lunch break and still have time to eat if you WANT to
but thatās the thing, thatās why we say monday⦠because we donāt REALLY want to. we know itās gonna take work and sweat and effort and we donāt want it bad enough to do that right now when weāre already so comfy scrolling through instagram š¤·āāļø
if you wanna prove me wrong i will gladly send you a 20 min workout to do right now, just send me a DM saying CHALLENGE ACCEPTEDšš¼
