Can’t wait to watch the CHESS MATCH! Chargers thought they could run the same 1st & 10 blitz twice—2nd series, it stuffs the run with Maye under center. Next drive? SAME LOOK but Maye sees it pre-snap, adjusts the play/protection, and gets it to Rhamondre Stevenson for 46 yards.

Terrific adjustment between series. McDonald will have to think twice before giving the same look!!

Brilliant play design by Sean Payton to exploit the Patriots’ tendencies on 3rd & 10! It’s amazing how great offensive minds can really make things difficult for a defense!

Disguising at the expense of EXECUTING technique! I am seeing this happen a lot. The disguise has become more important than fundamentals (at times). Also, big believer that you must read the QB in zone and not the WR!!

I ask myself all the time.. Is it players or plays? Are we putting players in a position to succeed or are we just calling blitzes for the sake of calling blitzes??? For some reason the Rams defense gave Seattle easy access to the middle of field for the SECOND time in 2 games!!

Here’s what ELITE defense and COMMUNICATION looks like. Mike Mcdonald had his defense much more prepared than the Rams on defense. Great example of Rams having the pre snap advantage, but Seattle prepared for the moment!
