Many may not know…
Maeghan was named by Dance Magazine as Top 25 to watch in 2010. She enjoyed 13 seasons as a professional dancer with Giordano Dance Chicago. Her choreographic work has been presented on such iconic stages as The Joyce in New York City and at Summer Stage at Central Park as well as “Stars of Today meet the Stars of Tomorrow” with Yagp. Among her numerous choreographic accolades, Mrs. Hobbs was awarded the YAGP’s national choreographer award in 2018. MCPA ensemble “Eureka!” Choreographed by Mrs. Hobbs was also awarded first place small ensemble at Yagp finals 2022.
These are just a few reasons why we are so very lucky to have Mrs.Maeghan with us this weekend… sharing all of her passion and experiences with our upper level Pre-Professional students! We can’t wait!!!

Wow! What a week in Arizona. I’m not sure we have all recouped as of yet but I do know good times were had by all.
This Finals I would say the biggest award goes to the MCPA parents! Dancers, make sure to thank your parents!!!
The NYCDA Finals schedule was grueling and anyone who knows me knows it must have been a lot for me to make that statement- classes, auditions competitions, master classes- all on daily repeat! Start at 6 am finish at 11pm wake up and go again:) Great job parents in getting the dancers everywhere they needed to be and ready the entire time. I hope you snuck in some fun! If you made it through this past week- you got any finals to come. MCPA Students participated with grace and grit- staying true to what we do. So very proud of our youngest dancers. Great moments were had in classes and on stage. Looking forward to all there is to come for our up and coming MCPA dancers. Get ready to continue the hard work. Already making plans- of course! Oldest dancers continued to shine on stage. We survived picturesque and fiery hot Arizona:)
