Congratulations to Knox Central's Logan Lambo for finishing runner-up in the pole vault, 2A division, competition at the State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.
Believe. Achieve. Succeed.

Knox Central track officially came to an end for this year, and it's always great to finish the season at the Khsaa 2A state track and field meet at the University of Kentucky. We had a great season and are very proud of how each athlete competed, set new PRs, and improved throughout the season. Congratulations to the athletes who qualified for the state meet, and looking forward to watching and coaching these athletes as they continue to get better each year. We had three new athletes that got to experience the state meet for the first time.
Congratulations to Sophmore Steve Partin, who was #11 in the state with a new PR at 130-2 in the disc, and Sophmore Jaylain Fain, who finished #12 in the high jump and #10 in the long jump with a new PR of 15-11.75 and Sophmore Bella Frost for competing in the high jump. Senior Logan Lambo was one jump away from winning the state pole vault championship and finished runner up. We are very proud of these kids and enjoyed making memories that will last a lifetime with these student-athletes.
We want to thank the Knox County Board and Jeff Canady for providing a great two days for these kids as they had a chance to go bowling, play games, swim, and have a team meal before they competed. We look forward to watching them continue to grow and compete next year in track and field. Congratulations to Logan Lambo on setting a new school record in the pole vault last night at North Laurel with a height of 13’3. The previous record was 13’0, set by Greg Phillips in 2009. Logan broke the school record with vault of 13’1 and then extended the new school record to 13’3 on his next jump. The coaches and school are proud of Logan for his outstanding accomplishment and all the hard work he has put in to achieve this goal. Knox Central High School

Reminder: drop off your uniforms today from 3:30-4:30. If you can’t make this time, please arrange a way to drop them off. Seniors, your gifts are bagged and ready for pick up!
Just a reminder that we will be turning in uniforms tomorrow for anyone who hasn’t. I do have to change the drop off time from the previous post. We will drop off from 3:30-4:30. If you cannot make this time, please let me know. We have to make a list of anyone who hadn’t turned in uniforms. Seniors, you will receive your gifts as part of this. Trust me, they are worth it.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We are still needing to collect uniforms and give out the senior gifts. This year for several reasons, we will be doing a drive thru uniform return and gift handout. We have a list of who needs to still return uniforms and expect those to be turned in.
I will be at the school on Thursday, July 22nd from 4:00-5:15 for anyone needing to return uniform and for seniors to collect gifts. If you can’t return during this time, please message me so we can work out a time and we do not have to charge the uniform to your account. I look forward to seeing you.

We concluded our 2021 season today…
Big shoutout to sophomore Devon Butcher for finishing 7th in High Jump. His future is bright and now he knows what it will take to improve.
Also, a shoutout to Junior Logan Lambo for a standout season. Today, he didn’t get the results he wanted but that doesn’t take away all of his accomplishments this season.
To our team, y’all have made this trying year a successful one. All I asked was to compete each time out and you did that. I’m super proud of y’all.
We will make announcements about end of the year stuff in the next couple weeks. And always, I’m proud to be a Panther!

Shoutout to Barbourville’s Michael Smith who has worked out and competed with us this season. Tonight, he won Region in high jump and will advance to state!

Tonight, we competed in Region although we were missing several due to various reasons. I’m proud of this group simply because the one thing I asked out them was to compete with great effort. We had to make adjustments but they overcame that which truly displays what it means to be, .
We didn’t get all the results we wanted but have a couple big announcements to make:
Logan Lambo-Region Champ in Pole Vault and will advance to State.
Devon Butcher-Region Runner Up in High Jump and will advance to state.
We are still awaiting results for more potential athletes to make state.

Details for Region:
Arrive at school by 2:00... I would like to take a team pic and senior individuals prior to leaving to post on our page.
Performance list is available on Milesplit KY.
Eat a good lunch prior to arriving. Bring snacks, water as it is a long meet. We will try to stop after the meet for something if possible.
You are not allowed on the field unless your event has been called and this will be enforced. It’s a rolling schedule and you will need to be signed in by second call.
Region is big... let’s compete for KC, let’s act the way we should for KC, let’s enjoy competing, and be #100 all evening.

Congrats to our baseball and softball teams for capturing district titles today!!!

Happy Memorial Day.... It’s more than a long weekend. It’s an opportunity to thank those who gave all for ones they never knew. 🇺🇸

Please say a prayer for one of our own as they are in the hospital for overnight stay due to medical issues. We understand this because we are one, we are family, we are KC.
