Something is happening in Waltham on September 19th that I want you to know about.

Gratitude Hot Yoga is opening a new studio in Waltham, Massachusetts. And I am going to be there teaching at 10 a.m.

There's a man named Mark who changed my life about 30 years ago.

We met at a gym. He was older than me by maybe 15 years. Not a therapist. Just someone who had done an enormous amount of his own work... and wasn't embarrassed about it.

That was the first thing he gave me. Permission to not be embarrassed.

The second thing he gave me was one sentence.

I was 33 or 34. Going through a divorce. Scattered. Absorbing everything around me like it was all mine to carry.

And he just looked at me and said...

"Too much is coming in. And nothing is going out."

I didn't know what to do with that then.

I do now.

This is what we've been building.

Almost 5,000 square feet right off Route 128 in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Two studios. Built by people who practiced with us at Inner Strength years ago and never forgot what happened to them in that room.

What can one class do?

After 25 years of watching people walk in one way and walk out another... I can tell you.

It can change the way you carry something that's been heavy for a long time.

It can give your nervous system the one hour it's been waiting for all week.

It can remind you that you are not the noise in your head. You're the one listening underneath it.

That's not marketing copy.

That's what I've watched happen. Thousands of times. In rooms just like this one.

September 19th is the official grand opening celebration at Gratitude Hot Yoga Waltham.

Free classes all day.

Some of you have been here a very long time.

Inner Strength.

Gratitude.

Watertown.

Falmouth.

Sudbury.

Waltham.

Raleigh.

Different rooms.

Different chapters.

But the practice underneath all of it has never really changed.

What happens on the mat doesn't stay on the mat.

The breath you find when things get uncomfortable...

The moment you notice the reaction before becoming it...

The ability to stay when part of you wants to run...

That's the practice.

And now we're building a place where you don't have to be standing inside one of our physical studios to practice it with us.

It's called The Gratitude Way.

She had already done a teacher training.

Something was off.

A friend pointed her toward Gratitude. She took a few classes. Felt something shift. Went through the training.

Now she teaches.

She told me once that she noticed herself gripping the steering wheel on the way to the studio. Not for any reason. Just... gripping.

And then she caught it.

That noticing... that pause... that's the whole thing.

We're running this program in Raleigh right now. Massachusetts is coming.

Something happens.

A word lands wrong. Bad news arrives. Someone says exactly the thing they know will get to you.

And before you've consciously decided anything... you're already in it.

The people who practiced at Inner Strength and Gratitude over the years... they know what I mean when I say the mat teaches you to find the space between the trigger and the response.

Not because yoga makes you immune to being triggered.

Because it gives you a place to practice the pause before life demands it from you.

Every class. Every breath. Every time you stayed when you wanted to leave.

That's not yoga.

That's preparation.

Some of you practiced at Inner Strength in Watertown.

Some of you found Gratitude in Falmouth or Sudbury.

Some of you have been following this page since before it was called Gratitude.

This is for you.

Gratitude Hot Yoga Waltham has been open since June. Quietly. Deliberately. The way you open something you want to last.

Leah Croteau... Inner Strength student turned teacher... drives there every week because the practice is that essential to her.

Ron Levine... one of the first through the door at Inner Strength on Tuesday and Thursday mornings... brings that same depth to Waltham now.

Old faces have been returning. New ones keep walking in.

September 19th is the official grand opening celebration.

Free classes all day. Movement. Connection. The kind of community that takes years to build and a lifetime to belong to.

Some places change you.

Inner Strength opened in Watertown in 2000.

Thousands of people came through those doors over the years. They came in tight, guarded, carrying things they didn't have words for yet. And something happened to them on the mat.

Then life happened. The way it does.

A cancer diagnosis. A pandemic. Studios closing. Years of rebuilding.

And yet the people who found their way to Inner Strength kept finding their way back.

To Gratitude Hot Yoga Sudbury. To Gratitude Hot Yoga Waltham. To Gratitude Hot Yoga CenterRaleigh.

The investors who opened Gratitude Waltham were Inner Strength students. They didn't invest in a yoga studio. They invested in something that changed their lives and wanted to give that to others.

A woman walked into Gratitude Hot Yoga Sudbury today, Roz, said, "After doing the math, I started with you and Inner Strength 30 years ago...the only reason I came back to yoga was because of you."

That's not a business story. That's a calling.

I'm not done with Cape Cod.

Falmouth went in a different direction...and I'm not going to pretend that isn't a loss, because it is. But the community that was built there... the people who found something real in that room... you're still here.

I'm looking for the right person to bring Gratitude back to the Cape. Not a transaction. A calling.

We have the teaching staff. We have the process. We have 25 years of proof that this works.
