Well my MLF season is over! Thanks to my sponsors and followers for the support this season.
It was a very tough first season as a boater.
I’m not going to qualify for regionals so I will not be fishing last gator div event in palatka.
I would have to win it all for both days to be able to make regional, and seeing as how I’ve never been there and won’t really be able to prefish, I’ve decided it’s in best interest to forego the rest of my MLF season.
It’s heartbreaking to me bc I had hopes of a decent season and qualifying for regional on Eufaula.
My season:
Bought new to me 18’ shadow 6 mo before season started to be able to compete as a boater.
Shadow blew power head 3 weeks before first tourney of the season on okeechobee(the only one I got to legitimately prefish for) so didn’t get to cover anything I wanted and was stuck using troller motor all day.
2nd tournament on Harris had no prefishing bc back up boat was being restored and made functional to become primary boat.
3rd tournament on Toho(only limit i got all season) again no prefishing bc new primary boat was getting finishing touches got it back 2 days before tournament
4th tourney yesterday on Harris again, some prefishing but cut short by engine issues, boat back in shop got it back Friday night before the tournament with no testing. Boat ran fine but just couldn’t get it done had the opportunity at about 12-13lb bag but fell short bc of missed/lost fish.
I’m currently 70th in points after those 4 cluster F’s of tournaments. Need to be in top 45 after palatka to qualify or win that tourney. But boat is going back to shop for engine to fix last few things(hopefully).
Thank you to AEI Electrical construction for taking care of my entry fees this season if not for that I would not have been a boater this season.
Thank you to Rob Vanhorn of Robs Marine Restoration in north Lakeland for busting ass on both boats and keeping me going this season.

Now for rest of yr I will be focusing on fishing the Xtreme bass series to try and qualify for championship. Fishing with my son and co link/friend for MLF this yr.
Hopefully all boat issues will be figured out and fixed. Then I’ll gear up to try again next season.
I will be looking to add any sponsors I can to help fund and support the next season with MLF as I go back next yr with appropriate time and equipment to properly prepare for every tournament.
