8/29/26 was one of those days Memphis will be talking about for a long time. A straight-up legendary day for Pro Wrestling in the Pro Wrestling Capital of the World. You had something for every kind of RASSLIN’ fan out there — the classic Saturday morning tapings at 901, a huge memorial show where Sid Vicious’ legacy filled up Minglewood, and in their final show Memphis Street Fight putting on one of the most violently poetic no‑ring deathmatch shows this country has ever seen.
All in the same city. All in the same day. All completely different flavors… and all hitting exactly how they were supposed to.
And here’s the thing: nobody has to team up or pretend we’re all one big happy rasslin’ family. That’s not realistic and it’s not necessary. But the comparing, the cutting down, the ego-driven “we’re better than them” stuff that ain’t helping anybody. It doesn’t build your crew, your community, or your product. It’s just spinning your wheels.
If somebody else wants to start drama or take shots, let ’em. That’s their energy. Focus on what you do. Handle what’s in your control. Memphis proved in one single day that there’s room for every style, every vibe, every approach — and each one can shine without stepping on the others.
Stop trying to be the “BEST.” Stop chasing clout or validation. Let your work speak for itself AND HAVE SOME FUN! If there’s a real chance to help another organization, take it. If it’s not bringing anything productive to your people or your community, then you’re just pi***ng in the wind.
Memphis wrestling thrives when everyone grinds, stays true to their lane, and puts on shows that make people talk. 8/29/26 was a reminder of what happens when we all show up and do what we do best.
