Real talk, skiboards are more fun and more affordable than skis. Still almost HALF THE PRICE of USED SKIS, true story. Megan here, aggressive inline skater turned snow lover at the age of 35. Introduced to skiboards in 2024 at a skate contest, I was stoked to give snow sports a chance. I live near Timberline Lodge-Mt Hood, Oregon, and I rode 3 mountains on skiboards before deciding to try skiing. I ended up renting some Line ski demos. My legs were LOCKED! I thought 15+ years of aggressive skating and a few times on skiboards would make picking up skis easy. I joined a 3-hour class. After 2 more lessons, I was having some fun and started looking for some used skis. But honestly, I LOVE the skiboards! Not to mention, I'd rather pay almost half the price of a set of used skis for a BRAND NEW pair of skiboards! I blast down the mountain on Sk8 96 cm skiboards, jump on boxes, and weave through trees.
