I took Johnnie and HPD Officer Brandon this morning. I took them to a place they hadn't been to before. We started off fishing some grass lines, then some marsh. We finally found the fish in a couple of areas where the tide was flowing in. The bite only lasted about an hour and a half but it was almost every cast if placed on the edge of where the water was flowing in. The bite stopped after that. We did manage to catch 2 keeper reds, 5 keeper drum, and 2 huge croaker. Overall a pretty good day! Thank you for your service Officer Brandon!!! 🇺🇸😎👍

Today I did a family trip with the help of Robert R-Dub Winans of Low Plains Drifter Guide Service. It was a girls versus boys trip. There were 5 boys and 3 girls. I took charge of the girls and Robert took charge of the boys. Each group fished different areas at first. The girls started off strong catching lady fish, reds, trout, and grunts. Boys caught a keeper flounder, a keeper drum, and lost some good fish. Later in the morning the boys and girls fished together in the same area. The tide never really got moving so the fish bite was slow all morning. The girls caught the most fish but the boys brought in the most keepers. So I took it as a tie. They all had a good time! It was wonderful seeing this family fishing together and seeing how they all got along so well! ♥️Thanks Paul for booking with me. Thanks Robert for helping out.

Fished with Mark (Navy Veteran) this morning. Tide was almost 2ft higher than normal. We fished what are normally shallow reefs. We started picking up some reds at the first reef. Mark caught a nice keeper red there. We moved to a second reef and I picked up a keeper and so did Mark. We moved again and I picked up a 25 1/2" red. We moved once again to some submerged structure and Mark picked up his 3rd keeper red and a keeper drum. I picked up a 19" keeper trout. We had several undersized trout, reds, and drum. We ended the day with 5 keeper reds, 1 keeper drum, and 1 keeper trout. Very good day! Thank you for your service Mark!!! 🇺🇸😎👍

Today I took Nick (Army Veteran) and Jason (First Responder - Sheriff department). They were my military and first responder winners for September. Both were fairly new to kayaking. This was Nick's second time on his kayak and this was Jason's first time on a kayak. There was quite a bit of bait everywhere. We hit drop offs, reefs, and grass lines. It took a bit to find some fish that were willing to eat what we were offering. We found some off a reef that's off a point. Unfortunately no keepers. We moved to a small marsh area. I had Nick go into the marsh to see if he could see some reds to sighcast. I stayed behind with Jason to show him how to fish grass points with moving water. Not long after he hooked a red. It ended up being a 22 1/2" red. Nick saw some small reds but no takers. We headed back and picked up a few drum close to the boat ramp but all a little too short. Tough day today but Nick and Jason fished hard. Thank you for your service guys!!! 🇺🇸😎👍

Had a trip with Kenneth today (Army Veteran). We were going to try to fish in between storms. We hit the window just right. First spot we fished a ledge with a drop off. Caught one big Golden croaker there. Next we fished a reef with some structure. Fish were definitely on that reef. For about 30 minutes we were catching red, drum, or big croaker on every cast. I snagged some structure and broke off my Woodie cork. We kept seeing it pop up from time to time 🙄. We moved to a grass line next and we were picking up some just undersized reds. I had one fish rip line off my drag there then it pulled off. 🤬. We went into the marsh and I hooked one red off the grass and it spit the hook at the kayak. We started heading back as some storm clouds were coming in. Kenneth had never had croaker before so we kept 3 big Golden croaker for him to take home. Thank you for your service Kenneth!!! 🇺🇸😎👍

Went for a quick scouting trip this afternoon. Got out there at 3pm and I was only going to be able to fish for a couple of hours. I was fishing a deep channel with structure. First spot I hit I picked up a few keeper drum. I was looking for some keeper reds but only caught a couple of undersized ones. I moved to a couple of reefs and a rock wall. No luck there other than some big croaker. I kept one big croaker and 3 drum for fish tacos tomorrow. 😊
