Today, the Sterling High School Track & Field Booster Club proudly hosted our 1st Annual Feeder Schools Kickball Tournament, and what an incredible day it was!

Even with the scorching Texas heat, our future Rangers showed up ready to compete. They played with heart, determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship from the first game to the championship.

We were honored to welcome students from Alamo, Bowie, Clark, Crockett, and Stephen F. Austin Elementary Schools as they represented their schools with pride while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to:

This tournament wasn’t just about winning games—it was about building relationships, creating traditions, promoting school pride, and introducing our future Rangers to the Sterling family.

Event Information

📅 Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2026
📍 Location: Sterling High School Football Field House
🕗 Check-In Begins: 8:00 AM (all volunteers, coaches, refs); 9:15 AM (student participant)
🕗 Final Check-In: 9:45 AM (all participant MUST be checked in by this time)
📣 Opening Announcements: 8:30 AM
🥎 Games Begin: 10:15 AM
What to Wear and Bring

Comfortable athletic clothing
Closed-toe athletic shoes or tennis shoes
A refillable water bottle
Your elementary school’s spirit shirt or school colors (encouraged but not required)
Water will be available throughout the event, but participants are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Upon arrival, all participants will receive a colored wristband to identify their school team.

Tournament Format

The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, meaning each school will continue competing until they receive two losses.

Weather Information

Today’s temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s to low 100s. Please hydrate well, eat a good breakfast, and bring a refillable water bottle. We will continue monitoring the weather and provide updates if any schedule changes become necessary.

Parking

You may park your vehicle either at the baseball field, softball field, or the football field house. However all participants must check-in to receive their wristband at the central check-in location at the field house.
