We’re incredibly grateful to the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation for awarding Beaver Dam Hockey a $500 grant to support our free Learn to Skate program!

The grant helped us purchase youth hockey equipment so kids can step onto the ice and experience hockey without their families having to invest in equipment first. And that opportunity is making a difference.

Over the past year, 124 kids participated in Learn to Skate, and 79% of our new players for the 2026-27 season started in our Learn to Skate program. This season, Beaver Dam Hockey has grown to 148 registered players, an 18% increase from last year.

Our Learn to Skate program is more than teaching kids how to move on the ice. It’s about making that first step into hockey easier, giving kids a place to try something new and opening the door to a sport they might just fall in love with.

Thank you to the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation for helping us keep that door open. 🏒
