Deer park boys distance running

Back to back state champs! Bollum placed 5th and Westerman placed 8th this weekend. Gonna be sad to see these seniors leave! But they're leaving the team in pretty good shape for next year! And to mention the top 5 boys on the team qualified for border clash, in Oregon on the Nike Campus. Plus Cody Bollum also qualified for footlocker in California. What a season! The team is running this week down in Boise for Nike Cross Regionals.

This weekend we went to the state meet and walked out with a second place trophy.

This week the track team had a meet in Timberlake meet. The distance guys took charge of the meet, starting out with the 3200 crushing that event placing 1, 2 and 3 bringing home 24 points. In the 800 our runner placed 2nd, contribution 8 points to the team. To end the meet the mile was run, we swept this event going 1, 2, and 3 again. There were two sophomore records broke those were the mile and the 800m.

Tomorrow is the Frostbite 5k here at the Deer Park High School. Remember come early if you haven't already signed up. The race is at 10 AM we will be no registration after 9:45.

Reminder that Winterfest frostbite is this weekend. It isn't too late to sign up. We have Day off Signup!
