Today is the "international day of sport for development and peace," April 6th, 2026.

Sport is a way to gather, play games, learn about other cultures and find a sense of belonging to each other. Its more than winning, it's a LEARNING experience.

Thank you to the City of Bellingham's tourism "seed" funds for helping to make last week's "world water day" at SPLASH!down a success!

We at Whatcom Waves are a women's empowerment organization that seeks climate, racial and social justice through sports. It is with great honor, responsibility, and humbleness from our small volunteer group to have hosted 170+ people for the indoor soccer tournament!

Big shout out to for bringing the Seattle ladies for a second year in a row! We'll see you again next March 20th 2027~
