Ozark Ski Tuning

The ski areas are starting to come alive and my workshop is too! Time to think about your winter gear needs and plan before your trips. If you have summer storage wax on skis/boards, that can wait to come off until right up to when you plan to use them. If you need things mounted/adjusted, best to do it earlier so that there is time to buy the right things(boots, bindings, skis, boards) in the event that there are compatibility issues.

Okay folks it's March madness! That means that some of you are packing away your skis and boards for the summer. If you have new/nicer gear that you wish to keep in good condition for seasons to come, a storage wax is a great idea. Keep those bases hydrated and the edges from rusting. Let me know if you would like some wax on there for the off-season! And thanks for all the work you sent my way this winter!

Are your skis/boards feeling sluggish and looking tired? Wax them! Letting them get to a heavily oxidized state(right pic) is doing lasting harm to the base material! If you have nice newer gear that you care about, frequent waxes and storage wax over the summer go a long way to preserve the ride quality.
