I started working with Lindy when she was around 7 or 8 years old. Today, at only 11 years old, she won the USTA 14U Sectionals.
But honestly, this doesn’t surprise me, because trophies are won in practice, in the day to day work, just like Agassi used to say.
From day one, she had this crazy desire to improve, compete, and push herself. Competition is in her DNA. She has it in her blood.
We trained Monday through Friday, every single day, at a very high intensity, and little by little, she learned not only to handle it, but to enjoy it.
I would do anything to help and train kids from an early age. Honestly, that has always been one of the biggest reasons why I’ve posted so much tennis content over the years without asking for anything in return.
I don’t know if everyone knows this, but a little over 6 months ago, I opened my academy here in Los Angeles, and I’m extremely happy with the way our players are evolving.
Very soon, we’ll be opening new Orange Ball and Green Dot groups at GTA - ProPath Scholl Canyon, so we can guide young players from the very beginning.

Before, 10 y/o Varun was getting jammed on his backhand because he was too close to the ball.
So we used a simple cone line as a reference point.
At first, the cones gave him the structure.
Then, he started to feel the spacing by himself.
That is real coaching.
Sometimes a player does not need a complicated explanation. They need the right drill, the right visual cue, and enough repetition to understand the feeling.
Better distance means better contact.
Better contact means a cleaner backhand.
