Ain't nobody thinking 'bout choo! One of my favorite things to revisit, when I remember, is no one is really thinking about us. They are thinking about themselves. So, carry on, carry on and you do you!

Food is information that tells your entire biology what to do and when to do it, but junk food is like malware on your computer: scrambled information that over time leads to a major hardware crash.

Another group training hike preparing for the Make A Wish 26.3 mile trail blaze challenge! It was a struggle and was not glamorous but we all made it! 😃😅 I’m $500 away from my minimum commitment goal and we are a few miles closer to helping every kids wish on the waiting list come true! Please donate to the kiddos at the link below in the comments in support of this challenge! 😘
This place is so Purdy and peaceful pictures don’t do it justice. 😍

It’s not the sugar we add when we’re cooking something. It’s the sugar that’s added by corporations to our diet that causes the problem.
For example, your Prego tomato sauce has more per serving of sugar than two Oreo cookies.
Sugar is the core ingredient used by the food industry to make bad ingredients (processed flour and chemicals) taste good. It is also the root cause of why so many of us are sick.
We become stuck in a vicious cycle of cravings; eating sugary foods that spike our blood sugar, thereby lighting up our brain’s pleasure center. This triggers more cravings, and we become powerless against our brain’s hardwired response to seek pleasure. It’s no wonder so many people feel trapped!
So how can you break out of the cycle?
By simply eating real, whole foods. You need to eat fat and protein for each of your meals. Whole foods carbohydrates like veggies, legumes, nuts and seeds are perfectly healthy.
Also, work on reducing your stress. When you’re feeling stressed, you’re more likely to reach for that bag of chocolate chip cookies or whatever your vice might be. Learn to address the root cause of your stress and address it with something like yoga, meditation, or deep breathing.
Get good quality sleep. Ever notice you’re hungrier for something sugary after a terrible night’s sleep? Studies show lack of sleep increases cravings.
Lastly, move your body! The next time you get a hankering for something sweet, walk it off… Literally! Besides creating a healthy distraction to avoid nose diving into a pint of butter pecan ice cream, exercise tapers cravings and raises feel-good endorphin levels.
Remember when? What are your thoughts? Um no. I don't remember when. Thoughts about what? What were we talking about? Where is my coffee!?
Training hike number three (I missed the second 😜) The group picture is from hike number one but I forgot to take any pictures today hardly so thought I would throw that in for effect! This is for the Make-A-Wish trailblaze challenge that is a 26.3 mile one hike on the Pinhoti Trail in efforts to raise money for Make-A-Wish! Donation link in the comments if you’d like too :)
That’s right! 😃
