Professional Motorcycle Racing Team in the MotoAmerica Series

09/29/2025

It is with a grateful heart and great humility that I get to write this message on this day.

Today - Tytler’s Cycle Racing was blessed to win the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.

The championship was won like most - highs, lows, patience and perseverance. In the end it was simply that we put ourselves in a position to win when the cards fell our way. Unless you’ve lived it - you’ll never imagine what this team went through to be there at the end. My appreciation of the spirit and character of this team could never be overstated. Champions.

Some very important “thank you’s.”

The fans - I’ve been blessed to be involved in a number of racing series since I was a child and without a doubt MotoAmerica fans are the fans I’ve enjoyed working for the most. We came in out of nowhere and felt immediately welcomed by everyone.

The other teams.

Many are already aware - Tytler’s Cycle Racing doesn’t exist without Corey and Richie Alexander. We went from zero to sixty in what felt like seconds courtesy of their hearts, minds and spirit. Their investment in the team was extraordinary, undeserved and unexpected. They are core contributors to the series. A big part of this team success belongs to them.

Attack Yamaha - the Patriots, the 49ers, the Steelers of MotoAmerica - Richard, Jake and the whole crew. They were the top of the game when we arrived and they remain the icon of the sport. I think my first conversation w Richard was “I want to be a good contributor to the show and I want to take the championship.” Richard - with all of his knowledge and skill was always open with a conversation and advice for the new inexperienced team owner.

No other race series has allowed me to feel as connected to the other teams as MotoAmerica.

MotoAmerica - we’ve agreed to disagree on any number of occasions but they’ve been very good and patient with the new guy as we worked together to grow the show.

BMW and alpha - we arrived uninvited, unproven and unknown. They supported us. I was not easy on them in my demands for improvements - while BMW were busy winning their own championship in WSBK. I can assure you my name is a four letter word in German. Unless I’m mistaken - we delivered BMW’s first MotoAmerica championship in a few years in return.

Larry Pegram - “if you put Dave Weaver in charge of a team he will win a championship or a lot of them.” “Larry you were right.” That’s SO hard for me to write. If you’ve met Larry - you know why.

Rex, Jeff, Lee, Jon, Jon - the heart and soul of the team. If i had the skill to ride a motorcycle near 200 mph - I’d want to know you put it together.

Peter - the wizard w the data. We needed to redefine the software and he lead the way. It helps that he can ride.

Of all the people who get punished by a new inexperienced owner - it’s the crew chief. Dave Weaver is easily the most skilled jefe’ I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. To be honest if Dave has any emotions none of us who love him have ever seen them. “You should be happy Dave.” “I am happy.” “And we should know this - how?! Gimme a sign Dave.” I am grateful and in awe of Dave and his work. Part scientist part wizard. Perhaps he will try emotions in retirement.

Cam Beaubier. The baby faced assassin. The ice man. I’ve been blessed to work with any number of pro riders and drivers. The definition of a complete package is a guy who can get on a bike that isn’t race ready, put together by guys he’s never met, on a team with no history, lap it at competitive speeds and come back with feedback to make the package faster - then get on it and win. Cam Beaubier is the complete package. On top of his pure professional racecraft - we’ve been together as he joined the journey into fatherhood - he’s a great dad supported by a great wife and a great family.

We all owe thanks to Mrs Fun - my wife. We all know the rule. “Momma ain’t happy - ain’t nobody racing.” It’s been extraordinary to have her support for a sport she didn’t know existed 7 children ago.

And finally - a word of recognition to the original BMW rider - my father - Raymond J Kiley. Farmer, mechanic, combat decorated US Marine, WWII veteran, truck driver, father of 10, grandfather and leader of the polka band. My brothers and I still ride his 1966 BMW R69S - and it still runs like it left the factory yesterday. 2025 is the 100th anniversary of his birth. This championship feels like appropriate respect for a man who carried more weight and accomplished more with less than I could ever hope. This one’s for the farm kid who headed off the farm he’d never left to fight in lands he didn’t know existed. The man who came home to raise children and find his passion in a “life behind bars” on a motorcycle I’ll pass to my kids when I’m done with it - in 30 years.

My thanks to all of you for a success that belongs to us all.

That’s 6 for 6 and a win record to boot.
