Friday Follow Up!
Brendan Murphy and Evan Corbett are both Rescuer Scholarship recipients, and it’s been great watching them begin their careers in the fire service.

Brendan received the scholarship in Fall 2025 and began his career with Hoover Fire in early 2026. Evan earned the scholarship in Spring 2026 and joined Hoover just a few weeks ago.

What’s even cooler is that these two scholarship recipients currently find themselves working together on the same shift and at the same station.

Seeing Brendan and Evan succeed reminds us why the Rescuer Scholarship exists. Supporting hardworking firefighter recruits is important, but getting to watch them grow, build successful careers, and serve their communities makes it even better!

Thank you to everyone supporting Rescuer! Because of you, we’re able to go beyond teaching CPR and providing AEDs. We get to invest in current and future firefighters, which has always been part of our mission.

We trained over 100 students in CPR and First Aid across Alabama.

We helped Pelham First Baptist Church upgrade 2 existing AEDs and add 2 new AED units to better protect their staff, members, and visitors.

We’re incredibly grateful for the businesses, churches, and organizations that trust Rescuer for their training and AED needs. Every class taught and every AED placed helps create a safer community and increases the chances of a positive outcome when an emergency occurs.

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy came at a cost paid by heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward.

Rescuer is excited to announce that we are now officially an HSI Training Center.

This is a big step for our team and allows us to continue expanding the training opportunities we provide while helping organizations stay OSHA compliant through quality CPR, First Aid, and safety education.

It also gives us the opportunity to support current and future HSI instructors by providing resources, guidance, and a home to grow within the HSI system.

We’re proud to have partnered with the City of Helena to provide AEDs for their new City Hall, helping protect both the employees who work there every day and the citizens visiting the facility.
