BREAKING NEWS: Shelby has officially been caught… 🍯🐻

After weeks of roaming Shelby County, Shelby Bear was finally spotted enjoying a jar of Wilson Honey. We can’t really blame him… it’s 100% raw, local, and apparently bear-approved!

Thankfully, he left enough for the rest of us. 😄

Stop by and grab your own jar before Shelby comes back for seconds!

No bears were bribed with honey during the making of this post… at least none that we’re admitting to. 😉

NHB 2025 Annual Report

NATIONAL HONEY BOARD PROGRAMS WORK TO DRIVE DEMAND AND INNOVATION

The National Honey Board (NHB) was re-established in 2008 to strengthen demand for honey in the U.S. market. Funded by assessments from honey packers and importers, the NHB's work focuses on increasing consumer demand for honey and expanding opportunities across retail, foodservice, and ingredient channels. Programs additionally invest in nutrition and bee health research and serve as the industry's trusted source for honey information and education.

As shown in the 2025 Annual Report, the industry's collective investment continues to generate meaningful results.
• Honey is now consumers' #1 preferred sweetener according to a recent survey
• High-impact marketing and digital engagements led to billions of impressions and strong social and influencer programs
• Retail sales in 2025 hit a record high of $1.2 billion according to Nielsen
• Innovation efforts led to a 15.3% increase in new honey-based product launches
• Funded more than $500 thousand for bee health research

"Everything we do is focused on creating long-term value for the honey industry," said Margaret Lombard, CEO of the National Honey Board. "From building consumer demand and supporting innovation to investing in bee health research and educating consumers, our goal is to ensure a strong future for honey, beekeepers, and everyone who depends on this industry."

The collective investment made through the National Honey Board allows the industry to accomplish more together than any individual company could achieve alone. By pooling resources, honey packers and importers support programs that increase awareness, strengthen demand, advance research, and create opportunities for the entire honey category.
