The Birmingham Rugby Football Club was established in 1967, and is the premier Rugby Club in Alabama. Practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 pm.
Bring some cleats and we will see you there. Youth and High School schedules vary, so check website. Anyone with an interest in rugby may join the Birmingham Rugby Club. Starting tomorrow the Birmingham Vulcans are hosting a Touch League !
This league will take place from 4/21-6/2 and is every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm! Come join us this Spring as we ramp up for our 7’s season!

If you’re in the Montgomery, Alabama area check this out!
Touch rugby for the kids will kick off in the next couple of weeks at the same field where Yellowhammer Rugby’s adult side plays. Keep an eye out for the flyer with dates and details.
We’ll be using these first sessions to gauge interest and build the schedule.
Also, over the next few months, we’ll be running FREE clinics for anyone who wants to learn the game. No experience needed. If you’re curious, come out, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

2025 was a huge year for Birmingham Rugby 🟢⚡
We grew at every level — men’s, women’s, high school, middle school, and two youth touch programs (including a brand-new one in Trussville). We also introduced 500+ football players to safer, rugby-style tackling, with even more planned for next year.
None of this happens without the time, effort, and generosity of our members and supporters. We’re incredibly grateful for this community.
To support this momentum, the Birmingham Rugby Foundation launched an endowment fund this year — designed to provide long-term, sustainable funding for field maintenance, equipment, and continued program growth.
When you give to the endowment, your original donation stays intact. The club uses only a portion of the interest earned, meaning your gift supports Birmingham Rugby year after year.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by year’s end to help seed the fund. Every contribution — big or small — truly makes a difference.
