The Alabama DMV is now taking Pre-Commitment applications.

After you verify that you're human, tap "Next" then look for Baseball History & our baseball design. Once the State DMV receives at least 250 pre-commitments, your plate will go to production for its 2027 rookie debut.

One of the most successful players in Major League Baseball was born in Jefferson County on May 6, 1931. He was Rookie of the Year in 1951, twice was named the Most Valuable Player and finished in the top 10 for the MVP 10 other times.
