The 13th Annual Josh Burton Memorial at Bloomington Speedway is less than two weeks away! 🤩

Whether you’re coming for the racing, the free fan raffle, or just looking for a fun night with the family- there’s something for everyone! The drivers will be battling it out for $10,000 TO WIN plus bonus awards, and there will be several different activities on the hill as well as the Speedway’s brand new playground for the kids to enjoy.

General admission is only $20, and kids 12 & under GET IN FREE!

Anyone who knew Darlene knew two things for sure: she loved her family, and she was determined to make sure Josh’s memory lived on. Today, on her birthday, we’re remembering the incredible woman who made that her mission 🎂❤️🏁

If you’ve been to the Josh Burton Memorial over the years, then you’ve experienced a little piece of who she was. She was the driving force behind so much of it, always dreaming of ways to make it bigger, better, and more meaningful. Keeping Josh’s memory alive wasn’t just important to her, it became her life’s work.

She gave so much of herself to others, welcomed everyone with kindness, had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh, and loved this racing community with her whole heart. She built something that still brings people together years later, and that’s a legacy most people could only hope to leave behind.

Stepping into the role she filled so effortlessly hasn’t been easy, and there are days we still wonder how she made it all look so simple. We do our best to continue to honor her vision for the race and hope that she’d be proud. The Memorial may carry Josh’s name, but her fingerprints will always be all over it.

Well… we’re into the “everyone stare aggressively at the weather apps” portion of Josh Burton Memorial week 😅🌧️

The driver who advances the most positions during the feature event will take home an extra $1,000 on top of the purse money for their finishing position. That’s an unbelievably generous addition to the payout and we can’t thank them enough for helping make this race even bigger for the drivers. It should make for some exciting racing in the back of the field!🧡💚

And the bonus money doesn’t stop there…

Lovett’s construction has also added a $500 “Worst to First” bonus if the driver starting on the tail can wheel it and pull off the win! 👀🏁
