Westside MMA Welcome to Westside MMA! We started our journey as the Normal West Boxing Club in 2021. We have now expanded beyond our high school to include anyone high school age and older in Bloomington/Normal, IL.

You can bet the Westside MMA group will be trying to watch these fights!!!

10 new members for the Warrior Path MMA Progression Series!!! We will have two more join us, so stay tuned!
We start out with a firm foundation in Muay Thai and Filipino Boxing, then we add standing submissions in level 2. I’m truly excited to see where this group goes!!!

It’s crazy to think that we just started training this group in February. We started with foundational Muay Thai and Filipino Boxing training. Now we move into submission wrestling moves to finish. #MuayThaiMatters #WeDoBeatDownsNotTakeDowns

A great way to get better at Muay Thai is to really break down what the professionals are doing and implement that into your training. One Championship is a great organization to watch!

Abe is in his senior year at Normal West. His dedication to our 5am classes has him getting to the gym before I do at 4:40am. He came in with very little experience with punches or kicks and he's made tremendous progress on his Warrior Path in the last two months!

Three months ago, Abe was sleeping at 5am. Two months ago, Abe dedicated himself to our Warrior Path MMA Progression program. He started with learning how to punch and kick. This morning, he focused on a Muay Thai combination that ended with a standing Jiu-Jitsu submission. He could’ve chosen comfort and sleep, as many seniors at Normal West did. He didn’t. He chose to be at the gym before I get that at 4:40am. He chose the Warrior Path with his other new brothers and we have walked side by side through the entire journey.
