If I Could Turn Back Time! â°
If I could go back and talk to my 35-45 year old self, Iâd tell her one thing:
Learn about your hormones NOW.
I wish I had understood what was happening during perimenopause and how much changing hormones impact energy, sleep, mood, muscle mass, body fat, and overall health. Iâm convinced my body and health would look very different today had I known then what I know now.
In 2019, I found a provider who specializes in Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for women and men. Iâve been on HRT for nearly 8 years, and it has been one of the best decisions Iâve made for my health.
Since then, many close friends and former clients have explored HRT after our conversations and experienced positive changes in their energy, body composition, recovery, and quality of life.
Ladies, donât wait until youâre struggling. Educate yourself, ask questions, and find a provider who understands hormone health.

My Body Was Never the Problem⌠My Strategy Was
I have been the woman with the pain points.
The girl who took diet pills as a teenager and starved herself trying to be enough.
The young woman in her early 20âs who ate fast food constantly, didnât exercise, and weighed 230 pounds.
Then I became the woman who swung completely the other directionâŚ
Obsessive exercise.
Extreme dieting.
Punishing workouts.
Trying to shrink myself into worthiness.
In my 30âs, I ate and drank my way through NYC while building a successful career until my body finally said:
ENOUGH.
A major health crisis followed by post-operative depression and anxiety forced me to confront something deeper than weight.
At 40, I made a decision that changed my life.
I stopped chasing punishment and started pursuing wellness.
I changed my mindset.
My habits.
My nutrition.
My relationship with myself.
I became a Certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer because I wanted to inspire other women while continuing my own journey toward strength, confidence, and healing.
I even set a goal to compete in a fitness competition by 50.
Then life shifted again.
A serious car accident and severe whiplash ended my competing days followed by a partial hysterectomy.
Later, I found myself in a relationship that slowly pulled me away from the routines, boundaries, and habits that once kept me grounded.
Chronic stress.
High cortisol.
Inflammation.
Weight gain.
Exhaustion.
And once againâŚ
I hit rock bottom.
I remember thinking:
âWhat is wrong with me?â
Nothing.
Nothing was wrong with me.
My body wasnât broken.
My metabolism wasnât failing me.
My mind and nervous system needed healing.
My hormones needed support.
My body needed recovery.
My lifestyle needed a new strategy.
That realization became THE HOT SHIFTâ˘.
Because wellness is not just:
⢠counting macros
⢠punishing yourself in the
gym
⢠chasing smaller sizes
⢠obsessing over calories
True wellness is a state of mind.
Itâs learning how to support your body through every season of life.
Itâs understanding that midlife requires a different strategy.
For me, that looked like:
⨠HRT support
⨠peptide protocols
⨠age-appropriate strength
& cardio training
⨠stress management
⨠sleep optimization
⨠nervous system
regulation
⨠recovery
⨠mindset work
⨠sustainable habits
The 5 pillars of The Hot Shift⢠were born from my own journey:
⥠Energy
đŞ Strength
đĽ Nutrition
đ§ Mindset
đż Lifestyle
Because midlife is not the end of our power.
Itâs the moment we stop fighting ourselves and start supporting ourselves differently.
This is not the end.
Itâs my HOT SHIFT. đĽ
And if youâre a woman navigating exhaustion, hormonal changes, weight struggles, stress, or feeling disconnected from yourselfâŚ
I want you to know:
You are not broken.
You may simply need a new strategy.

The women who perform at the highest level are often the most depleted.
So many ambitious women are still trying to push through exhaustion using the same strategies that worked in their 30s.
More restriction.
More cardio.
More punishment.
More pressure.
But during perimenopause and menopause, your body is asking for something different.
You do not need more punishment.
You need:
⨠Better recovery
⨠More muscle support
⨠Nervous system regulation
⨠Sustainable nutrition
⨠Boundaries
⨠Self-care without guilt
⨠A strategy that works WITH your body â not against it
Your changing body is not a sign that youâre failing.
Itâs a signal that itâs time for a new approach.
At THE HOT SHIFTâ˘, I help high-performing women reclaim their energy, strength, confidence, and clarity while navigating midlife with intention and support.
Because midlife is not the end of your power.
It can become your strongest shift yet.
Comment SHIFT if this resonates with you. đĽ

Why are so many women over *50* doing everything rightâand still not losing weight??????
Theyâre working out.
Theyâre eating âhealthy.â
Theyâre staying consistent.
And yet⌠the scale barely moves.
Hereâs the truth most people wonât say:
đ Itâs not a lack of effort.
đ Itâs not âjust calories in
vs calories out.â
đ And itâs definitely not
because your body is
âbroken.â
After *50*, your body is playing by a completely different set of rules. I know because I have been navigating this for 8 years.
Hormonal shifts (hello, menopause), muscle loss, increased stress, poor recovery, and metabolic adaptation all change how your body responds to food and exercise.
So the things that used to work⌠stop working.
⢠Eating less can actually
slow your metabolism
⢠Doing more cardio can
increase cortisol and stall
fat loss
⢠Not prioritizing protein can
accelerate muscle loss
(which burns calories)
The result? You feel stuck, frustrated, and exhausted all the time. đ
But hereâs the good news:
When you adjust your strategy to match your bodyânot fight itâeverything changes.
đFat loss becomes possible
again.
đĽEnergy improves.
đŞStrength comes back.
If youâve been doing all the âright thingsâ and still not seeing results⌠itâs time for a smarter approach, not more effort.
Have you experienced this? Drop a âMEâ belowâIâd love to hear your story.

There was a time not too long ago when I was running on empty.
Working 14-16 hour days with no time off. Constant pressure. Giving everything to everyone else⌠and leaving nothing for myself. Burnout didnât hit all at onceâit crept in quietly.
Fatigue became my normal.
Motivation faded.
My body wasnât responding the way it used to, no matter how hard I pushed.
Thatâs when I realized something had to change.
At The Hot Shift, we talk a lot about showing up strongâbut I had to learn that strength isnât just pushing through.
Itâs *rebuilding*. Itâs listening. Itâs adapting.
Today, I practice what I call **Nurturing Resilience**.
For me, that means making stress management part of my daily lifeânot something I only think about when Iâm overwhelmed. Iâve learned to intentionally build in moments that bring me back to center⌠even in the middle of a busy day.
Sometimes itâs a few minutes of mindfulness between clients.
Sometimes itâs stepping away to reset my breathing.
Sometimes itâs choosing recovery over pushing harder.
Those small moments? They add up. Theyâve become my foundation for resilience.
Alongside daily stress management and self-care strategies, research continues to show that **mind-body practices are powerful tools**. They strengthen both the brain and bodyâsupporting neuroplasticity, reinforcing healthier habits, and expanding your capacity for resilience in both coaching and everyday life.
And beyond that, Iâve incorporated tools to support my body on a deeper levelâlike p & p t i d e support to improve my metabolic function, enhance recovery, and help my body respond better to the demands I place on it.
This isnât about quick fixes.
Itâs about sustainable strength.
Itâs about creating positive coping mechanisms that actually support your lifeânot drain it.
Because when you learn how to regulate stress, create space for joy, and support your body from the inside out⌠everything shifts.
If youâre feeling burned out, exhausted, or stuckâjust know, youâre not alone. And you donât have to stay there.

Movement matters more than perfection.

đĽ Hot Shift Truth Bomb đĽ
Change doesnât fail because people lack motivation.
It fails because their capacity is exceeded.
When stress, poor sleep, and low energy pile up, your nervous system goes into survival mode. And in survival mode?
Even things you care deeply aboutâ
đď¸ââď¸ weight training
đĽ eating better
âď¸ losing weight
âfeel hard to start.
Thatâs not laziness.
Thatâs biology.
The solution isnât âtry harder.â
Itâs build more capacity so healthy choices feel doable again.
This is the shift.
This is The Hot Shift. đĽ
đ If this hit home, youâre not broken â youâre overloaded.

Midday crash?
Before you reach for another cup of âď¸âŚtry a NAP.đ´
Enter the Nappino.
Hereâs how it worksđ
âď¸ Have a coffee or espresso
đ´ Immediately lie down for 15â20 minutes
âĄď¸ Wake up right as the caffeine kicks in
By the time you open your eyes, your nervous system has downshifted, your brain has cleared the sleep pressure, and BOOM â youâre ready for action.
RAWRRR. đŻđĽ
Why napping works (especially in midlife):
âď¸ Improves focus and reaction time
âď¸ Reduces cortisol and stress load
âď¸ Supports mood and brain health
âď¸ Helps regulate energy without wrecking nighttime sleep (keep it short!)
This isnât laziness.
This is strategic recovery.
At The Hot Shift, we donât push through burnout â
we work with our biology.
Nap smarter.
Recover deeper.
Then go crush the rest of your day. đĽ
For decades, women have been failed by the medical establishment.
Our symptoms were minimized.
Our concerns were dismissed.
We were told hot flashes, brain fog, anxiety, weight gain, poor sleep, joint pain, and loss of vitality were âjust part of agingâ â and to tough it out.
Meanwhile, an entire generation of women was steered away from hormone replacement therapy out of fear, outdated data, and a lack of continued education around female physiology.
The result?
Women spent years suffering unnecessarily.
HRT is not about vanity.
Itâs about brain health.
Bone health.
Cardiovascular health.
Quality of life.
Longevity.
Every woman deserves informed consent, individualized care, and access to evidence-based options â not silence or gaslighting.
Iâm deeply thankful I found A Balanced Life â a place where women are listened to, educated, and supported instead of dismissed. A place that understands that midlife isnât the end of vitality, itâs a transition that deserves care, science, and respect.
We deserve better.
And weâre finally starting to demand it. đŞ
