🚨 ALPHA ACADEMY 14U RIVERA — ROSTER OPPORTUNITIES 🚨

As we wrap up August and prepare for September Move Up Day, Alpha Academy 14U Rivera is looking to add two players to round out an already talented roster!

Based in Mercer County, WV

Alpha Academy Rivera is part of the larger Alpha Academy organization, while helping write the beginning chapters of Alpha softball here in Southern West Virginia.

Our program focuses on more than just tournament weekends. We place a strong emphasis on player development, arm and overall athlete health, competitive training, and most importantly continuing to grow the love of the game and compete!

Our athletes benefit from partnerships with local gyms and trainers, structured offseason/workout opportunities, and the resources that come with being part of the Alpha family.

🥎 CURRENT NEEDS:
• Pitcher — looking for an athlete ready to contribute meaningful innings and complement our current pitching staff.
• Experienced Catcher — another strong presence behind the plate would help complete this roster.

All positions will be considered for the right athlete.

This group is talented, hardworking, and preparing for its 14U debut. We are looking for players and families who want to develop, compete, and become part of what we are building in Southwest Virginia/West Virginia.

Our Alpha Academy 14U-Rivera athletes are learning that becoming better softball players takes a whole lot more than just showing up on tournament weekends!

These girls are PUTTING IN THE WORK this month! 💪🔥

🏋️‍♀️ Strength & Conditioning at Evolution Health and Fitness building stronger, more explosive athletes and learning how to properly train their bodies.

🥎 Thrower’s Arm Clinic with Level 33 Physical Therapy & Sports Performance focusing on arm strength, proper mechanics, arm care, injury prevention, and helping our athletes develop healthy throwing habits that will benefit them for years to come.

💙 And of course… practices, lessons, reps at home, hitting, fielding and all of the extra work that happens when nobody is watching.

What makes it even more exciting is that this is a brand new 14U team. We haven't even reached September 1 and the official start of our first season, but these athletes are already investing in themselves and each other.

We know playing 14U is going to bring challenges. We're going to face teams that have played together for years, but that's exactly why THIS WORK MATTERS.

We're not looking for overnight results. We're building stronger athletes, better teammates, confidence, discipline and a foundation for what's ahead.

Different schools. Different communities. One team. One goal. 💙🤍

🥎💙 BUILDING STRONGER ATHLETES — ON AND OFF THE FIELD! 💙🥎

Tonight, our Alpha Academy 14u - Rivera and Alpha Academy 12U- Edwards athletes had an awesome opportunity to come together for a private training event hosted by Evolution Health & Fitness! 💪🔥

Softball development is about so much more than what happens during practice or on game day. Building strength, speed, agility, endurance, and confidence is an important part of preparing these girls to compete at the next level.

We are excited for our athletes to experience a different side of training tonight and learn how putting in the work off the field can make them stronger on the field. 🥎

🏆 WORKOUT WARRIORS OF THE WEEK, WEEKS 5 & 6! 🏆

This week, we’re recognizing two very deserving Workout Warriors! Our chain took a little vacation with its previous winner, so Jenna’s announcement is a little delayed but her hard work certainly didn’t go unnoticed!

Week 5 Jenna Farmer #6
Jenna completed more than 1,000 batting reps during the week! She continues to improve, stay committed to the process, and work toward delivering even more power behind her swing.

Week 6: Paityn Hicks #64
Paityn dominated the workload in Week 6! Between pitching lessons, regular team practice, a guest tournament appearance, and her work at home, she completed well over 1,000 combined batting and pitching reps!

These girls have worked incredibly hard and deserve all the praise for their effort and dedication. Well done, ladies you’ve earned it!

On behalf of all our SWWV Alpha Academy teams, we want to give a huge thank you to Level 33 Physical Therapy & Sports Performance for coming out and hosting an incredible clinic.

We are extremely proud to have businesses like Level 33 that truly care about the development, safety, and long term health of young athletes. They not only shared their knowledge but also freely gave their time to help our local girls develop properly and gain a competitive advantage.

We are incredibly grateful of the participation in both the arm health clinic and Alpha Academy throughout our area. Alpha Academy 12U- Edwards and Alpha Academy 10u-Jenkins agree It is an honor to give this many young athletes an opportunity to develop, grow, and continue playing the game they love.

Alpha Academy has truly been welcomed with open arms in Southern West Virginia, and we are so glad to be here.

We love when teams contact us to prioritize the health and longevity of their players! The more athletes that we can help BEFORE pain becomes an issue, the better.

Due to our catcher getting a last minute Vacation we are looking for a catcher to play a one day tournament in Knoxville tn c class Saturday the 8th. This is a talented group of girls we are just getting started on our season. Please pm if you are interested!
