Went out this afternoon for one dive to check an old spot. Not a bad haul. Looks like those numbers are back on the primary list :)

Research has proven that the modern Tiger shark looses around 30,000 shark teeth in it's life time from feeding. Most all sharks loose teeth every time they eat. The Megalodon had teeth that measured over 7" long and had Whales for lunch. They bit and ate their on teeth in the process! A friend of mine has put in a ton of research on this and has an interesting blog on Megalodon shark teeth damaged from feeding. It may give you a new prospective when you're avoiding the "damaged" teeth for you're collection. Those teeth have been to battle!

First dive this morning. 6.42" x 4.6". That's a hand full of shark tooth :)
