Cindy had a great was day hunting on Saturday which is why she wasn’t at the shop working! It was a depredation hunt, cow only. As a left handed shooter and choosing to use a rifle she already had, she used one of her AR-10s, outfitted with a Vortex Viper, 3-10X44 and a hand load using Hornsdy’s 162 Gr SST bullet and 886 powder (which is mostly unobtainable). She harvested a beautiful cow, approx 550-600 lbs, give or take.

Description:
Whether you’re after varmints, medium game or just like to punch holes in paper, our micro-Mauser 527 can do the job. Built on a .223-length action, the tiniest of our centerfire platforms is also one of the most beloved by CZ fans. Chambered in a number of cartridges from .17 Hornet and .204 R***r up to 6.5 Grendel and 7.62×39, it’ll take everything from small game to deer.

The CZ 527 American features a classic American pattern stock, a sporter-weight hammer forged barrel, a single set trigger and a recessed target crown. Made to be used with optics, the American has no sights but is equipped with a 16mm dovetail for mounting rails or ringmounts.
