Head Coach: Brian Swonger
Brian Swonger has been a cornerstone of the Valley softball community for over 24 years. Deeply rooted in the game, he considers the softball world an extension of his family. Throughout his journey, Brian has had the honor of coaching numerous teams, gaining experience and building lasting relationships along the way.
This year marked a new chapter for Brian as he stepped away from coaching his men’s and coed teams to join forces with Carolyn, helping coach all of Carl’s teams out of Lewiston. That decision reignited his love for the game and the sport, reminding him why he fell in love with softball in the first place. It only felt fitting for Carl to step in as his assistant coach, rounding out an incredible coaching duo for a truly special team.
When Brian isn’t on the softball field, he’s working tirelessly as the Director of Community Engagement and Corporate Sponsorships for RISE Services. Passionate about both his career and his company, Brian is deeply committed to giving back to the community and serving as an advocate for those who may struggle to advocate for themselves.
We are honored to have Brian Swonger as our head coach, leading this team into battle with dedication, heart, and unmatched experience. 💪🥎

Our final male for Idaho Mixed E is none other than the infamous Jeffry “Web” Weber. Web will be beast mode while defending the middle for our team in Florida.
Web grew up in Moscow, ID and recently migrated South to Clarkston, WA. He owns his own contracting business, Web Construction, and is a bit of a property mogul in his spare time. He prides himself on his capability to “build things and fix what’s broke.”
Web is an amazing father to his two children, Esmae (10) and Evander (3). They come first and keep his life busy.
When Web isn’t gracing the field with his eccentricities, he is playing volleyball and hockey. He also spends more time than he should sitting in my truck, Twisted Tea usually within reach.
He is a simple guy who works hard, shows up for his kids, and tries his best not to complicate things. Web is one of the most hardworking and caring individuals anyone could come across.
This will be Web’s third year returning as a player for Challenge Cup. We look forward to your rare kind of contribution this year for Idaho Mixed E.

Kara Cornett
After a long pause, we have Kara Cornett up for our female team bios!
Kara is our female infield utility.
Off the field, Kara has been happily married to her husband, Devan, for 8 years. She has a 12-year-old kiddo named Easton and a 16-year-old stepson named Cayden. Kara tends to collect jobs like others collect hobbies. She is a waitress at BBQ4LIFE, delivery driver for Amazon and Amazon Flex, plus Shipt, Roadie, and Instacart. Don’t knock her hustle.
In addition to playing softball, Kara enjoys complaining about the heat while still showing up to play, tackling random house projects (organizing, fixing, painting, refurbishing), painting her nails, and always running fashionably late — which totally counts as a hobby.
Kara has been playing softball since I was about 5 years old. Kara says, “Funny story —everyone thought I was going to be a basketball star and my brother would be a baseball star, but we swapped sports. He ended up being the better basketball player, and I found my groove in softball. No regrets.” She has continued to play softball to maintain a social life, to relieve stress and feels it’s the best way to meet new people. It keeps her happy, competitive, and provides just the right amount of chaos.
Kara is a returning Idaho Mixed E player, this being her second year attending. Kara every team should have one of you and we look forward to your wild contribution.
