Marshall tops the podium for the 1st time in 2026!

After some struggles in the first half of the season, the last few outings have found Marshall steadily making his toward the podium almost weekly.
Last night was his night! After taking his heat win in PS super heavy he started pole of his feature event and lead every lap in convincing fashion.
He would follow that up with a 2nd place run in PS heavy feature as well making for quite the night. Congrats Marshall... way to keep digging!
Zackarie posted up a 3rd and 4th place finish in his features while young Tray showed out again this weekend with a pair of wins in Unlimited flat and box stock.
Jay went and helped Bryson in hopes of getting his kart lined back out after fighting some handling issues. While the results didn't necessarily show the effort put forth, by the end of the night, Brysons fastest laps were rivaling that of the event winner, so progress was made.
It also bears noting that Marshall's win and Bryson's lap time advancement were both accomplished on our new, small Hoosier tire program.
Thanks to all involved and those that help support the team!

“ This weekend was the NEA Shootout at the JKC track. The event showcased the best talent of their champ (cage) and outlaw kart classes along with selected open kart classes.
Special prize money and trophies were done up special for the event and the grandstands were packed - which is unusual for a kart race. Friday night format included 2 heat races for all competitors with the 2nd being a full invert of starting positions from the first. The accumulation of points from those heats would determine the top 6 who would then transfer into the dash - a 6 lap shootout - which would in turn, set the first 3 rows of the feature event.
Young gun Tray and Bryson were both good enough to make the transfer into the dash while Jay narrowly missed the point cutoff, relegating him to a 9th starting spot for the feature.
The dash would find Bryson taking 2nd - which out him in the front row outside, and Tray would run 4th, allocating him to start on the outside of the 2nd row.
Being a 2 day show, all the crew arrived at the track early on Saturday to prepare for the big feature event.
The trio, rolling off 2nd, 4th and 9th set the stage for some awesome side by side racing with some other very strong talent.
All three drivers found themselves inside the top 5 for much of the race - a few times even running nose to tail with each other.
The track was left sealed over between Friday and Saturday which made for a VERY SLICK surface for the feature event. This is where experience and patience often times can pay off in dividends. While all 3 drivers maintained great pace with the leaders, multiple cautions combined with a great deal of laps under yellow flag conditions would present a challenge for some to stay focused. Both Bryson and Tray made strong moves during the event, avoiding tragedy. Unfortunately a broken throttle cable bracket would relegate Tray to the infield. Bryson and Jay found themselves inside a spirited battle for 3rd with Jay getting the pass. Jay then set his sights on reeling in the 2 front runners, and eventually did, managing to take the lead briefly before a caution would come out. It was during this time that Jays kart had a throttle issue of its own and while trying to address it, managed to unseat the throttle rod on the carburetor, ending his night just after having taken over the!
lead. Bryson would rally back and round out the podium with a 3rd place finish

Once again we gathered at JKC for another "Friday night under the lights".
We had Zackarie, Marshall, Tray , Jay and Bryson on hand to compete.
In heat race action, Bryson and Jay both had wins, while Marshall, Tray and Jay posted up a trio of 2nd place finishes, while Zackarie had a 3rd and 4th in his 2 classes.
In feature action Tray, Marshall and Zack had a Top 5 each but suffered set backs in their 2nd features with a 9th, 10th and a DNF.
Bryson piloted Jay's red deuce to a 2nd place finish after challenging Jeffrey Thomas for the lead in the closing laps.
Jay finished 2nd in Heavy action while he took the win in Super Heavy.

This past Friday night saw 4 members of our group ascend on the Jonesboro Karting Complex.
Zackarie and Marshall competed in Pro Stock Heavy & Super Heavy action - with Top 5 finishes in both.
Tray had a 3rd place finish in Pro Stock Medium heat but DNF'd in the feature.
Jay ran the box stock class courtesy of Leister Racing, teaming up with Joseph and Caleb Blakey where the trio would finish 1-2-3 among 20 competitors. Additionally, Jay would compete in the nights final race.... a 50 lapper - winner take all. After starting in the pole, Jay fell back to 3rd and retired with clutch and throttle issues on lap 38

This past Friday the Turn 2 crew converged on Jonesboro Karting Complex for points night #5 of the 2026 season.
The night started off with a wetter than normal racing surface that quickly gripped up and provided for some very quick lap times.
In heat race action, our young gun Tray Frazier blistered the pro stock medium field by turning the quickest lap at 11.57 and taking the heat race win.
He then proceeded to be the big mover in his Stock Appearing cage heat by going 7th to 3rd! Just call this kid "Elroy Jetson" cause I don't think he'd be any faster if he had a rocket booster!
In other heat race action, pro stock super heavy saw marshall come across the line 4th, with Zackarie's efforts were a little better netting him a 2nd place finish, with Jay taking the win.
Pro Stock heavy was nearly a rinse and repeat with Marshall and Zackarie swapping positions this time and Jay capturing his second heat race win of the night.
Bryson piloted jays kart in pro stock medium action and posted a 2nd place finish for his efforts.
When the feature events rolled around the guys were all in pretty decent shape to take advantage, however Tray had some bad luck and had to rally from the back to crack into the Top 5 in his pro stock medium feature event - while putting on a SHOW in his Champ feature going from the tail to 2nd as they took the white flag only to have a jealous competitor stuff him in the fence on the last lap!
Bryson would roll off p4 and miss getting the win by one spot and settling for 2nd-the first night ever piloting Jays kart.
Marshall had a good showing coming home 3rd in super heavy action and then retiring with brake issues while running 2nd to Jay in the heavy feature.
Zackarie would bring it home with two 2nd place finishes in his features after nipping at Jay’s heels, threatening to steal his thunder in the closing laps. Jay won the super heavy feature but had a wheel exit stage left in the opening laps of the pro stock heavy feature and was unable to continue. All in all a very solid night for the crew!
