Your only safe for a little while longer, fish...

Big wild browns are still tucked away around watauga county... Brookies also. The high water and afternoon hatches this time of year encourage big fish to come out of hiding. Some bears came out to feed as well. Overall it was a pretty awesome day stalking trout with .l.corey in the creeks. I hope everyone out there is taking their social responsibilities seriously but still finding safe and fun activities.

Tyler and co. Killed it on the soho in high water. Floated 10 miles of river, caught numbers and size and enjoyed many a cigar. Even saw a bass!

When it’s 65 and sunny in February for the first time in history... go to the beech!

Neither the fishing or the weather have been average this winter and I’m taking advantage every chance I get.

I caught a musky! David did too. I think little Tubby was the good luck charm. Recently it has been great to have time between trips to explore new water and check lifetime fish off of the list. This is the third time I have tried all day for a musky. Fishing for these beasts teaches you to be consistent, focused and most importantly hopeful. Shooting for the 50”er now.
