The version of you who survived is not the only version of you that exists.
That version of you that exists now deserves compassion and attention because it carried you through things and experiences you never should’ve had to carry alone.
Survival was never supposed to become your permanent home.
There’s still a version of you underneath the fear.
Underneath the reactions.
Underneath the protection.
Underneath the exhaustion.
Underneath the pain.
And maybe healing is finally giving yourself permission
to meet that version again because it begins the moment
you stop believing survival is all you are.

Recently, my Global Thought Leaders™ television interview officially aired on CBS through the Impact Book Awards media network.
This conversation centered on On My Way Back to Yesterday: A Journey to Authenticity, the experiences that shaped my voice, and the deeper work of healing, truth, and legacy.
As I continue reflecting on this experience, I’m reminded that some of the most meaningful milestones are not simply about visibility, but about alignment.
To know that a message rooted in authenticity, healing, and purpose continues to reach broader spaces is something I do not take lightly.
Grateful for every platform that creates room for conversations that truly matter.

Some of the things you call “you” were actually learned responses.
Not because you were fake.
Not because you were pretending.
But because survival teaches us how to adapt.
And over time, adaptation can begin to feel like your true identity.
You learn how to stay quiet.
How to avoid conflict.
How to detach emotionally.
How to overperform.
How to anticipate people’s reactions before they even speak.
Not because that’s who you truly are, but because somewhere along the way, it helped you survive.
And maybe now, you’re beginning to realize that you don’t want to live there anymore.

🔥What if that’s not actually your personality?
What if it’s survival?
🧩The over-explaining.
🧩The over-justification.
🧩The shutting down.
🧩The need to always stay strong.
🧩The fear of disappointing people.
🧩The emotional distance.
🧩The constant need to “hold it together.”
Sometimes we repeat certain versions of ourselves for so long, to the point where we stop questioning where they came from.
And eventually, we stop calling them survival, we start calling them:
“just who I am.”
But healing has a way of interrupting that narrative.
It asks:
🚨Who were you before survival became your identity?
That question alone can change everything.
💛If this spoke to something deeper in you, don’t ignore it.

My experience attending the City Year Greater Boston Starry Night Gala, this past Thursday at the historic Cyclorama.
What stood out to me throughout the evening was the collective desire to continue pouring into Boston public school students, not only academically, but personally and emotionally, helping them grow into the best version of themselves.
I had the opportunity to engage in several meaningful conversations throughout the night, including an insightful exchange with David Weinstein, Founder & CEO of Write the World. Conversations like these remind me how important it is to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
I also appreciated the artistic beauty and rich history of the Cyclorama, which made the entire experience even more memorable.
I'm grateful for the connections, conversations, and the reminder that transformation often begins when people intentionally choose to invest in others.

You don’t have to rush.
I need you to understand that, in life there’s no timeline you need to follow, and there's no need for any pressure to have it all figured out right now.
But one most important thing to be clear about is that, you do have to decide.
Because in reality, staying where you are at this moment is also a decision.
And sometimes that’s the part we don’t want to acknowledge.
We tell ourselves we’re “waiting.”
We tell ourselves we need more time.
But deep down, we already feel it.
That quiet knowing.
That awareness that something needs to shift.
And once you feel that, it doesn’t really leave you.
It just waits for you to respond.
So this isn’t about forcing a step, it’s about being honest with yourself.
"Am I ready to stay here, or am I ready to go deeper?"
So if you’ve been feeling that pull,
this is your space.

City Year Greater Boston Starry Night Gala
A space bringing together leaders, organizations, and individuals committed to impact and transformation.
As someone deeply rooted in healthcare leadership, emotional regulation, and authentic leadership development, I’ve come to realize that many of the challenges we see across systems are not simply operational. They are deeply human.
Burnout.
Disengagement.
Survival-driven leadership.
These patterns exist across healthcare, education, and other high-pressure environments, and the conversation around sustainable leadership has never been more necessary.
I’m looking forward to meaningful conversations, aligned connections, and being in a room where leadership, service, and transformation intersect.

🌻 This is for you if:
✅️You’ve been feeling things in your spirit that you can’t fully explain.
●Not loud.
●Not always visible.
But present and intense enough that you can’t ignore it anymore.
✅️You know there’s more beneath your reactions.
✅️That what shows up on the surface isn’t really where it all started.
◇And part of you is tired of just managing it.
◇Tired of pushing through.
◇Tired of trying to “handle it” the same way, every single day.
✅️You’re ready to understand yourself differently, not by forcing change, but by finally looking at what’s underneath.
💛Gently.
💛Honestly.
💛Without judgment.
🔐That’s what this space is.
Peeling Back to Yesterday™ isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about helping you see clearly, so you can respond differently from a place that actually feels like you.
💌If you’ve been feeling that pull, this is your invitation.
✅️No pressure.
🌻Just a space to begin.

A lot of people think healing has to look dramatic or should be obvious in the eyes of everyone.
They think it has to look like a breakthrough, a breakdown, or maybe a life-changing moment.
But that's not always the case.
Sometimes, it looks like pausing before reacting.
Noticing yourself getting triggered and choosing not to abandon yourself in the process.
Becoming aware of patterns you used to call “personality.”
✅️Quiet shifts.
✅️Small moments.
✅️Honest awareness.
🔐That’s usually where real change begins.
