Yesterday’s event was a 5K but what an amazing feeling to cross the Boston Marathon finish line. There is nothing like a road race to reinforce the strength of community and reaffirm my faith iin the goodness of others. Competitive races are great for motivation but I don’t run to compete. I run because I can and for the utter joy it brings. One of the reasons this year was especially meaningful: the race start was at the edge of Emerson College’s campus, where my older son studies and my husband teaches, and the turnaround was at BU’s business school, where my younger son will be attending this fall. ♥️
